Monster Hunter: not horrible
I've never played Monster Hunter. This movie had some pretty cool moments. The photography and editing seemed amateurish at times (i.e., close-up shots show the actors in shade, and the far shots show them in bright daylight), and there's barely a plot, but it had decent enough monster battles and a touch of grossness.

The game I played had very little plot. The game was just track monster, kill monster, harvest monster, craft weapon or armour, rinse n repeat.
Watched Wonder Woman 1984 and Tenet over the weekend.
Wonder Woman was enjoyable. Tenet was confusing. I had to read up on what was happening afterwards.

Monster Hunter - Meh. I feel they wasted so much time in the first hour. Monsters look good.
Yepp, that bear thing scene was prob the most creepy scene I've experienced the last few years.
Annihilation was an awesome movie. Knew nothing about it going in and I fell in love with it.
Now that I have HBO Max maybe I'll check out Wonder Woman.

Ha yeah at a very limited quantity. You can actually rent out a whole theater for only $100 at the one closest to me lol. I've only been once, but now that I'm vaccinated I'll probably go see a few in theaters, specifically King Kong vs Godzilla
I'm 32, but yeah my department was deemed essential so I got on the list early.
Whiplash in HD is on sale digitally on Amazon Prime for a $1. I never got around to watching it, can’t beat that price! It’s compatible with Movies Anywhere app.
