What movies have you seen recently?

Saw Violent Night. Absolutely excellent. Great action, surprisingly good dialogue and character arcs, and the movie fully embraces the Christmas theme. This is literally the christmas movie I've been waiting since I was a kid. What's nice is that we finally get a violent Santa movie where Santa is the good guy, and isn't a deranged killer. It works so well, and is just a blast to watch.

Addams Family (1991)
Still an amazing adaption and after watching the first episode of "Wednesday" I really miss Raul Julia's version of Gomez... honestly, the casting and acting (except for maybe Wednesday and Pugsley) in the new series is awful.

Rewatched Black Adam on digital.

For some reason subtitles aren't standard in the non English speaking bits so had to switch them on and off for this.

Christmas Bloody Christmas - New Shudder exclusive Joe Begos movie (VFW, Bliss). Essentially a Santa Terminator robot goes on a rampage and hunts people down on Christmas Eve. Entertaining with some fun kills and maybe Begos' best lighting and cinematography yet (which is usually the best part of his movies), but I didn't like it as much as I'd hoped.

Violent Night - If you ever wanted to see Santa violently take out a squad of mercenaries with a sledge hammer, here's your chance.. This was Die Hard and Die Hard 2 meets a children's Santa movie. A bit too back and forth tonally for me, but the R-rated moments were all pretty entertaining. A fun enough violent Christmas action movie

I'm sure he is, but the actor (never remember his name) isn't really doing it justice either way.

Haven't watched it yet but I'm guessing he was casted mainly because he looks closely like the original Gomez. Raul Julia shouldn't have been casted in the movies because he was too good looking lol.

Black Adam: the Rock needs to diversify his roles or choose better roles. He was very flat in this one. Seemed like a CW show to be honest.
Glass Onion: I didn't care for the first Knives Out movie, and was hoping this would be better. It was marginally better due to the dialogue/writing, although it was just as predictable as the first film. I noticed the drink handoff immediately; was far too obvious.
Violent Night: Solid take on the Christmas genre with great nods to Home Alone and Die Hard. About 30 minutes too long though.

Avatar: The Way of the Water (IMAX 3D) - Great

This movie MUST be seen in 3D. It’s the most amazing 3D movie ever made. Nothing comes remotely close. It is literal 3D perfection. The movie itself it’s good and bordering on great. It could have had an hour cut, but I wouldn’t want it to as the world was amazing to experience in 3D.

This is coming from someone who absolutely hated the first one.

I can't see 3D movies sadly. My left eye is my primary eye instead of using them equally.
