What movies have you seen recently?

Bullet Train - good enough with some bits that made me laugh.
But the last 10 minutes wasn't necessary and Hollywood.. not everyone in the UK tries to talk like a Guy Ritchie film.

6/10

Summer of Sam - Interesting Spike Lee film set during the Son of Sam killings in NYC. It's a well made movie about people going nuts due to the stress over the killings and heatwave during the summer, but the main characters were all fairly unlikeable, and some sections felt a bit disjointed, out of place, and unbelievable. Glad I finally watched it, but I'm not entirely sure if I'd say I "liked" it or not.

The orgy scene…

I remember not liking that movie much when it came out but I haven’t seen it in a very long time.

I realized I hadn't seen any Spike Lee films all the way through from start to finish, so I've knocked a couple out this month that I'd seen bits and pieces of. Going to watch Do the Right Thing this weekend.

Fear (2023) - Awful

How is it possible I’ve seen the two worst movies in history within two weeks? This is actually worse than Skinamarink because it was trying to be a normal movie. Holy s*** was it bad.

I am having a hard time deciding which was more disappointing to me: Avatar 2 or Black Panther 2. I'm leaning towards Avatar 2. At least BP2 introduced a new villain.

Do we have to choose?

I'd say BP2. Terrible choice for the new Black Panther. Terrible villain.

Few that I watched
Polar- Popcorn B-rate action flick. A bit over the top, and doesn't take itself too serious. Mads Millelsen will make a good solid snake if they ever make a show about Metal gear.

Viking wolf:
There is a saying, every genre, ideas has been done, so you have to combine at least 2 ideas to make a movie now.
This Norweigen show combine werewolf and zombie-like spread by infection & done a decent job to make a show. B-rate.

Black crab:
Starred Niami Papace from the original the girl with the dragon tattoo, & probbaly more well know in US for palying a scientist in Prometheus.
Its took place in an unknown apolcaptic winter place, with an unknown enemy, & event that led to it unknown ( a bit like the latest top gun). Its up to your imagination to fill the details. Without giving too much away. The story started with mission to delivered a war victory package to a location via a frozen sea.
There are some moral delimma akin to like atomic bombs on Japan. Decent B-flick.,

Took my wife and oldest son to see new Avatar yesterday they were blown away. I think I enjoyed it even more my second viewing was able to focus more this time on the detail and man this movie is beyond any others on the front. Only director I think that could play in the same ball park right now is Denis Villeneuve (Arrival, Blade Runner, Dune).
