What song are you listening to RIGHT NOW?

I'm a big fan of the older style country/folk music. Came across these girls a few weeks ago and they sound great.

I've always loved these songs, couldn't listen to them enough when I was in middle school and they were new and still enjoy them now for the memories they bring back.

Have you heard of First Aid Kit?

Crazy. I had just heard one of their songs the other day, while staying at a cabin at the hot springs near my mountain town. It just randomly came up on a Spotify playlist, but it sounded super familiar and super catchy, and I added it to my own playlist.

It looks like these videos have been out for like 5-6 years, so that's pretty interesting synchrony there, that you also just posted that... Especially since I've never really viewed this thread before.

The music has a nice vibe that kind of reminds me a bit of the band Elephant Revival, who plays here in Colorado all the time. Ever heard of them?

Not yet. But I’m off to YouTube.

Check out their cover of White Rabbit. The girl sounds like Grace Slick and Natalie Merchant had a child.

Yeah, I've heard them do that cover live. They have been in my ski town quite a few times, even though I'm sure they do to travel for shows all over. I don't know, but every time I've seen them live, I feel like she's putting me under a Celtic pagan spell, even though they are from Colorado. They are definitely bluegrass at times, but folk at other times. I noticed that most of their stuff on YouTube is live, but you can just listen to a playlist of any of their compete albums on Spotify or iTunes, and hear anything from poppy folk (Grace of a Woman), to bluegrass (Sing to the Mountain), to Bonnie's soothing vocal songs (There's a ring around the moon). It's all really different, but I do think they are top notch, and I like them. It's also music you can play around a female that you like, and she will probably dig it too.

Not usually a fan of this guy but I’d never heard this song, and now I’ve got on repeat...

First Aid Kit is great. Haven't listened to them in a while so probably missing some good music.

Edit: new album already out this year nice
Edit 2: didn't realize they were from Sweden. Tallest Man on Earth is also a great artist from Sweden.
