Mindhunter - Second time watching. I still love it. Great atmosphere, score. I think the acting is very good. The interviews are fantastic.
I'm enjoying Dark Tourist on Netflix quite a bit. The premise is they go to a different country or area of the world in each episode and go to strange "dark" sight seeing and tourist excursions Some of they things they check out are pretty interesting (Hashima in Japan for example).
Hannah Gross, who's parents are (surprise!) in the industry, gave one of the worst acting performances I've ever seen. She was God awful.
Lol. Want to over-exaggerate more? Not too mention she is a background character and only present to highlight the selfish, me me me nature of the main character, Holden Ford.
She's a background character who's screen time is only eclipsed by three other actors in the entire show.
She's meant to highlight the selfish nature of Holden by pretending to be a cardboard cutout? I'm not sure why decent acting would ruin that.
I enjoyed the show. I just think the actor who played Holden and Holden's GF gave horrible performances.
Holden's performance is perfect.
Still a background character....who is eclisped by shock! the main characters.

You can't give a main character a pass because she's not a lead. Bad acting is bad acting.
And, no. The actor playing Holden was almost as bad. A far cry from "perfect" lol

I think you need to watch it again and pay closer attention to the characters.
She isn't a main chracter either...again, I think you need to watch it again. You seem to have missed a lot.
The Sinner was good.
I am trying to go through it again, but it seems it is one of those where once the story ends it loses some of its engagement factor.
I thought he did a good job with the Holden character.
I’m looking forward to The Sinner season 2 (I’ve been recording it). That first season was great it had me glued till the end. Not sure how it would hold up on a repeat viewing more of a one and done watch.

It is still good on repeat viewing but you won't be glued to it like you were on first viewing.
Starting the newest season of Better Call Saul. I think it is one of the best shows on television. If you’re a Breaking Bad fan give it a shot. I think it is great but in a different way.

I loved Mindhunter. Can't wait for the next one. To be fair, if you asked me half way through watching it I probably would have said "meh", but by the end it really roped me in.
Finished up season one of Futurama. I'm probably going to keep Netflix for another month and then put it on hold for a while. So in that case I need some suggestions for shows. I have Amazon Prime and Hulu as well right now so preferably something not also on there. So far I've only watched season one of Black Mirror and Stranger Things, last season of The Killing, as well as Making a Murderer. My initial thought was either Ozark or The Mist, both something at least a little different than what I've already seen. Or maybe Lost in Space hm.

The 3rd season frustrated me sometimes, but it was just the nature of the story and how horribly evil several main characters were. I don't think it's to Spoiler-ish to say last few episodes had some very satisfying deaths.
There was a side story with Cassidy that I thought turned out to be mostly pointless and I still think his character is nerfed to much.
The Saint of Killers takes a back seat for most of season 3, but comes back into it more fully as a major badass.
God is just plain weird and being a dick as usual.
Hoping this gets a Season 4. In the meantime, my main show is done until then and looking for something else to watch. It will probably be American Gods or Westworld Season 2 or possibly rewatch HANNIBAL since it's on Prime.

Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. I only watched the Obama one. I decided to watch most of them. They're great. The best one is with Julia Louis-Dreyfus
Punisher maybe. Kind of burned out on comic book stuff honestly. I've never seen an Evil Dead movie so figure I should watch the movies first. Twin Peaks perhaps. I haven't seen the original so not sure if that is required first. Also never seen Hannibal movies lol.
The original TWIN PEAKS is on Netflix.
I'm unsure if it matters if you saw Silence of the Lambs first. It does work as a stand alone show, but seeing the movies first adds to it.
I'd still recommend the Punisher as a supremely violent superhero alternative. Maybe watch the Daredevil episodes with him first.

Dude don't worry about the movies get in there! The evil dead t.v.series is great and one of my big disappointments it's not getting renewed.
If I would choose any of these series I'd probably go with Evil Dead. Tis the season for that type of movie anyways so maybe they show up on streaming services and I can finally watch them.
Went through all seven seasons of Voltron in a week. Fascinating take on what I remember as a very two-dimensional show. The show gets kinda dark towards the latter seasons, but doesn't take enough risks (it's still a show for kids, I suppose). That said, there are some great progression in the story and the characters.
PREACHER is not included with Prime or Netflix, but I highly recommend it.
