What TV show have you seen recently ? Episode one

Jupiters legacy - meh.
The Nevers - really enjoyed it.
I wanted to like Jupiters Legacy but ended up fast forwarding through a lot of it, if it gets a season 2 I won't watch it.

I've been watching Shadow and Bone and that's decent.

Goblin Slayer episode 1

OMG this is extremely brutal. It's a surprise because the branding and opening credits don't really hint at all of the death.

This is sort of RPG inspired and reminds me of the beginning part of a game where characters try to get the first levels or grind for XP on the basic monsters, sometimes takinga mistep with Boss encounters they're not ready for.

This dramatizes it making it kind of surreal horror. This complete noob team of eager adventurers decide to pursue goblins and almost the whole team except one is killed in episode 1. WTF.

The only person remaining survives to because a higher tier adventurer shows up and kills the goblins. He then fInds the nest of goblin infants and goes Anakin on them with a club.

Hmmm,

Don't actually check out too many shows lately. Probably a lot to do with covid affecting production.

Sweet Tooth seems good so far, so I got that going.

Finished up New Amsterdam, I like it but it's probably gonna get stupid really fast. First 2 seasons pretty good though and a good positive pickup for the most part.

Movies? What movies? I've been watching old stuff when I'm in the mood, even old Monty Python movies. Holy Grail is more relevant than ever and it's good to laugh at how silly the world is if you know what I mean, very therapeutic.

I'd love some good new stand-up stuff to pop up on Netflix.

I see Master of None is back, nice to see a dude apparently get un-cancelled, but I haven't seen the reviews and the first episode was pretty boring, so I have no idea.

Just finished Homeland. Thought it was excellent. The ending was spot on IMO.
Sweet Tooth-Definitely geared towards the younger crowd but it was better than expected. Not must see, but good enough to want to finish.

Caught up on clone wars, well just the essentials listed on the app, fills in call backs to rebels and that other cell shaded one who’s name I forgot. Those last few episodes looked so good.

Im halfway in with the bad batch, diggin it.

There is a couple fight scenes, but nothing really bad. No blood. Just a couple s-words thrown around. Nothing sexual.
Depends on the 5 year old really.

Evil, Season 2 Ep 1 - enjoyed it. Looks like this season may be really dark.

My sister got me watching The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel on netflix, funny show and you can tell a lot of care is put into making it look right.

She also got me watching Outlander which is good but can get a bit boring in parts, worth watching for the scenery though.

And the last show she got me watching which is totally different is The Goldbergs lol, it makes me laugh and even though it's totally unrealistic and almost always has a happy ending it's kind of a throwback show for me and I appreciate that. I miss those old sitcoms from the 1980's and early 1990's.

I love all those old shows and not just shows from the US either, I've seen quite a few British sitcoms from that period that I love as well even if I don't always get a joke that may be about a specific location or British television celebrity. There is just something about that time period, I guess it's because that was when I was young and having fun without any real worries and everyone I loved was still alive. As good as some of the modern stuff on tv is these days nothing makes me feel the way those old 80's and 90's shows do.

Clarkson's Farm - surprisingly very good. It looked like it would just be another boring show to kill time before they can film the Grand Tour again, but it was really good and entertaining. (unlike the show with Hammond and the guy from Mythbusters which was just awful).

My ex girlfriend loved this show and I watched a lot of it with her. Show was really well done and love that Tony Shaloub is in it. Really enjoyed the episode where he goes to the beach with Jason Alexander.

Doesn't hurt that Mrs. Maisel is a SMOKE SHOW

I watched a TON of Chapelle's Show last week while I was working from home a couple of days. Still holds up and is still so dang funny.

Surprised there haven't been a ton of PC Police trying to get on his case about it, but maybe because he kind of changed his position on a lot of things for his standup IDK.

Buckle up you c***
As long as there's not any killing of children
more than the mayors son going down on the airplane
I'll be fine...I think.
I'm definitely not the same cold hearted a****** that I was before I put my offspring in my wife, I get much more disgusted by killing of innocent people in movies.

I'll just say right now you're probably not going to have a great time with this show then. It's super good though, massive fan of the first two seasons.
