What TV show have you seen recently ? Episode one

It's a looonnnngggg ride. I did it a few years back. A great ride nonetheless.

I almost didn’t want to start it because it’s so long, but it was one of my favorite shows and it’s been awhile since I’ve seen it. We’ve been watching an episode or two every night before bed. I remember the last couple seasons (original run) started to go downhill in enjoyment.

Nightflyers - Finished this yesterday and it was not too bad, definately better than I thought it would be.

Titans - Enjoyed this more than I expected. The ending of season 1 felt a bit unfinished, more like a mid season ending .

Happy! Season 2 is even more insane than the first one. It is so sick and twisted. Every episode I ask "wtf did I just watch?" but I want more.

Very rarely is a part cast where the actor is so amazing in the part, and fits perfectly, that there just isn’t the possibility of anybody else playin the character. Christopher Meloni is as perfect as it gets in Happy! Three episodes in in season 2. Amazing, crazy, out of control... simply beautiful tv.

Legends of tomorrow has been getting better and better, especially with the addition of Constantine as a main character. It's finally embraced it's goofiness and stopped trying to be so serious since the last season and it works really well for the show (imo)

I finished Black Summer on Netflix. It was pretty good if you're not burned out on zombies. It is the World War Z type zombies (I think it is a prequel or something). It is only 8 episodes and not very long so it is a quick binge if you're looking for something quick. Not groundbreaking or a must watch or anything, but was interesting. Very fast paced and the opposite of the endless character drama of the Walking Dead.

Finished Afterlife on Netflix. Only 6 half hour episodes. If you're a Ricky Gervais fan, check it out. Although it is a lot deeper and more serious than much of his earlier work. It deals with depression and loss in a pretty dark way, but with some humor thrown in.

Finally watching Deadwood after taking a hiatus in like 2014 the first time I tried in anticipation of the movie. Girlfriend at the time was definitely not interested lol. Starting over from the beginning, but I got about halfway through last time.

Watched one episode and couldn't get into it. Will have to revisit it because it's highly acclaimed and the movie is coming out.

I have to re-watch Deadwood again because it has been so long. I remember loving it in spite of it ending abruptly.

Ian McShane's acting performance is just in another world.

If I remember correctly, it kind of starts out slow but once it sucks you in, it has you. I think the first few episodes were kind of table setting kind of things.

I don't even really like western/cowboy type movies/shows but this is one of my all time favorite shows.

What! Disgraceful!

You should ban yourself from all TV/Movie threads/sectuons immediately.

You know I don’t like period pieces much.

Game of Thrones

Well it's all over. Great show and I look forward to watching it all again when it's released in 4K

S3/4 are my favourites which was no surprise being based on the best book.

never got into GOT, I am kinda one of those people that waits until hype has died down then will prob sit down and watch it.
seems weird that on the net all the love for GOT has suddenly turned to hate lol
so many people I know raving about GOT are now dissing it, wtf lol

Anyone watching the Chernobyl mini-series on HBO? It is really good. I think it is only 5 parts so it isn't very long. Very good (if you can get past all the actors having British accents) :)

Best accent in the world.

I watched the first episode yesterday. It was decent. But how much of it is true?

You either die a Breaking Bad, or live long enough to become a Dexter

or something like that

From what I understand it is reasonably accurate. I wanted to read up on it again after to see. I'm sure they oversimplified some of the dialog and characters.

They seem to do a good job conveying the radiation and the tension, as there's obviously nothing to see.
