What's your proudest video game moment?

Didn't Steel Battalion basically require a specialize controller?

I was curious about that game but not enough to dump that kind of money into it. It seemed like it was for very dedicated Mech style combat gamers with a good Game Room.

I've had many memorable moments in gaming, mostly when I finish a long, rewarding game or when I go into my "zone" and beat a difficult boss.
But three things stand out from the rest.

3 - my brother and I used to duke it out in mortal kombat 3 on the snes. We were pretty even matched so we decided we would settle it once and for all by mirror match ups with every character. I managed to beat him in the end as well as with his favorite one: subzero. Felt good to have bragging rights from thereon.

2 - I used to be REALLY into spiral knights. After about a year of release they had an update in which they added wings as an accessory. After that update, that became sole purpose. Wings.
After playing for a year and a half and totalling 1400 hours, by selling items, saving and in the end borrowing from friends, I was finally able to buy them. By far one of my best gaming moments.

1 - however, I guess the destination is not as important as the journey to get there. Again in spiral knights, where coop and helping each other is king is my best moment.
Me and a friend I had from the very beginning were still noobs the endgame boss. A couple of guildmates asked us if we could help them as they had never been to the boss. (The boss is actually beaten many times but it is the last boss)
We didn't think we would make it but we worked together and in that run me and my friend went from noobs to pros and carrying the party up until the final death scene.

Oh yeah, forgot mention my avatars :D

I used to play the game Runescape. I put like 4 years into that game. That has to count for something, right?

The game was so much fun.

My proudest moments are beating Ninja Gaiden Black and Dark Souls.

Also PV, great thread and your first post about Mike Tyson's Punchout is awesome! So many people I talk to still regard that as one of their favorite games of all time. I loved it. But I could never beat Mr. Sandman!

PS1: Suikoden II... when during a game event General Ridley was ambushed and surrounded... normally he gets captured by Luca Blight... however I actually manage to rescue General Ridley.

PS2: Kessen II... held off for Liu Bei's escape and kept repeating the mission to lvl my Generals. By time I stopped grinding the lvl Guan Yu and Zhang Fei could Solo all of the Wei Army

PS3: My first Platinum in GOW III and finally finishing the last 30 minutes to 1 hour of KZ 2 on hard after 3 days of trying.

PC: Finished the whole Pharaoh Special Edition Campaign. (Ate my whole summer as a kid)

Watching my son and daughter playing Happy Action Theatre.

Annihilating LPB's (low ping b*****d's in Q2 in CTF on a 56k modem.

Getting past the mind flayers in BG2 gfjhgjhghjbjknjkvxdfhgvkjbjh damn minx kept pummelling my party.

Beating every Halo on Legendary. Ninja Gaiden 2.The last part was extremely hard for me.What game has 3 boss battles at the end.

Here's the Cliff notes version:

While playing Battlefield 3 my jet got shot down. Directed the limp plane over enemy base and ejected right before I hit the ground. I killed five guys on the ground before stealing their jet and killing the jet who had shot me down.

God I wish I had the video save and share then, it was so awesome.

Not really a proudest moment, but definitely one I'll never forget is playing through Jurassic Park on SNES with my dad. We took turns playing it and ended up drawing our own maps for the entire game including interior sections to beat it.

My neighbors and I played through Final Fantasy II together (1991 - I was 11 at the time). We would trade the game back and forth to level up during the week, and only progress the story over the weekend when we could all sit around the TV together. I'm not sure how long it took us, but we beat it super late one night and forced my father to take a picture of our amazing victory:

I was proud of getting the Beans,Bullets, and Bandages achievement for Bad Company one. Although Ive racked up way more than 10,000 kills in BF3. Most memorable though had to be flying as Darth Vaders wingman in one of the last missions in Tie Fighter for pc.
