Wii Mini coming to the States

Great for kids/group of people who aren't interested in online and other feature. Just wii games. I think it's a good deal. I wish MS can do the same with Xbox 360 (who needs Youtube, IE, BING and other things when you have PC? Reason I bought 360 is games. And games that is all.)

How much is the "standard" Wii now? Is it being discontinued here like in Japan?

Yeah, I'd say it's only worth it for kids. Ultimately, I think this is Nintendo's way of trying to help make up the Wii U losses. Wii Mini is very barebones and is probably mucho profitobolo. Can you imagine if they manage to sell a million of them?
 
So no WiFi or wired connection, no Gamecube support, and no SD card support. It's the most stripped down version to date. Sometimes it's just hard not to hate Nintendo.
