Maybe they are following Max OS with more frequent updates. I like how Macs stay fresh.

If they give it to us for free then I'm good. Mac OS updates are free too, yeah?

MacOS also bogs down older hardware. My partner's old MacBook Air feels slower compared to launch. Kind of the same thing they do with their iOS and older hardware.

Yeah the Mac OS updates are free, even full releases.

I haven’t had any performance issues when my MacBooks get older but I use them 99% of the time for web access.

We use it for internet surfing too but just feels slow.

For iOS devices it’s to conserve battery life, but you can turn it off in the settings though
