No details other than that the author of the books is going to consult on the production.

Now...what if they cast this awesome actor as Geralt:

Wow! Crazy news! Netflix is like neck and neck with HBO when it comes to quality, imo.

Sweet, I’m always in the mood for great fantasy/drama. I remember reading about how the author of the books didn’t really make all the much form the licensing agreement for the games so I hope he’s getting his due for the live action TV series.

This is yet another reason why I need to finally play The Witcher 3.

Dude Witcher 3 was so great - primarily because of the terrific cast of characters (I love Ciri).

I know or at least so I've read. The last time I tried to get into it I was completely overwhelmed by the size and scale of the game world. It was right before Horizon came out so I didn't want to spend the time I knew it would take to get familiar with all its systems only to abandon it for another game.

Wow, this kind of came out of now where. With a good cast and a decent budget this could be a major hit for Netflix!

I don't watch a whole lot of TV, but would definitely be interested in this.

Could be good, if done right. Looking forward to it.

starring Doug Cockle (voice of Geralt) as the Witcher

Cavill doesn't have much personality as Superman but that kind of fits for Geralt, I just hope they do a good job making him look the part.

Cavill do seem a bit on the slow-bro side when watching him in interviews, but his acting is fine, just as most brits. Have no problem with him doing Geralt, though I'm not sure how this will pan out, seeing it flop wouldn't surprise me tbh.

Netflix has put out quality series though.

Meh. Her race has nothing to with her character and the author doesn't care so its a non story to me.
While I do agree that her race really doesn't matter much except her being human, I find it pretty hilarious that the casting states that applicants must be ethnic minority, which kind of make it something.

I'm gonna say it- that girl ain't hot enough to be Yenn... at least she has dark hair...Cavill, I think will be fine as Geralt provided we can get that rough voice out of him. No opinion on the others without context. Are those from the books or just new chatacters?

No Triss or Ciri, eh?

Ciri is on the top row. She is a little girl when this takes place. From my understanding Triss isn't in the books as much or at least not the early ones.
