For anyone interested, also Yukes is no longer working on the series it's only Crystal Dynamics now other than advising CD on the engine. Yukes is working on a separate wrestling game not related to WWE.

Visual concepts has been "co-developing" the series since 2K took it over but they were handling more of the animation and character models etc than the gameplay as far as I've read.

Edit: I had originally messed up and said it was crystal dynamics working on the game, it's visual concepts.

I wouldn't take credit for many of those character models

Yeah the quality is uneven, usually the ones they can scan come out much better than characters like Andre or Dusty Rhodes who are dead and up looking like created characters. Some of the models do look really good though which should be expected then you get some crazy ones that don't even look human, I just tell myself that they let the intern do that one for training lol.

Crystal Dynamics working on these games seems odd. They need to stop and get to working on a new Soul Reaver game.

I don't see anything different about this game so far that's any different than the last 2 or 3. Are they gonna up the resolution this time or just leave it 1080p again?

Just realized I put the wrong studio, is visual concepts that's working on it not crystal dynamics, I don't know why but I always mix those two up and they don't work on the same kinds of games.

:yyell:

I can sleep better now at least. Not sure I'll get this game until it drops to $20. It doesn't seem like there's anything new to justify buying it at full price.

Instead of Yikes he should have said "please bring back Yukes" lol but they are off doing their own thing now. I don't know if 2K let them go or they decided to leave on their own but clearly visual concepts wasn't up to the task.

And the best!

2K decided to move on from Yukes and handed the game over to Visual Concepts. This game shouldn't have been released this year. My guess is that they were contractually obligated to release a game every year because severe bugs like this should have warranted a major delay or cancelation.

No doubt they are obligated but VC has been working alongside Yukes since WWE 2K14 so you'd think they would have some clue as to what they are doing lol. This series always launches with some bugs but I've never seen anything like the mess that's been going around on twitter today. I remember when people used to think 2K was so good and EA was just evil, 2K has been just as bad as EA over the last few years when it comes to their NBA game and WWE games.

It's shocking. They need to give the game a couple years.

Give us HD remakes of No Mercy and Wrestlemania 2000 next year

I wouldn't even play this pos for free out of concerns it could crash my HDD. I laughed at the videos at first then became angry. No excuse for games to be released in this state.

AC Unity on the PS4 was playable for me. I finished the game unpatched and only had significant slowdown early on in the game. This game looks like it should be pulled from store shelves and thrown in a landfill.
