Sami has been wasted. The guy is a great wrestler who really understands the business.
He wasted plenty of years on his own insisting on wearing that mask and going out there as "El Generico" before getting to WWE.

1.09 million viewers tuned into AEW Dynamite last night, as averaged across two hours.

And last week was only 800 thousand and change but two weeks before that and the week before that it was back to back over 1 million viewers.
It's not going to stay that way, they s*** the bed every time they have a big opportunity to show something and they aren't going to get Mike Tyson and Shaq to appear on every episode. WWE sucks too but at least Smackdown has some stuff going for it, AEW has some great people they don't know what to do with and a bunch of garbage pail kids they push for some stupid reason. If that rich kid would stop playing with his real life action figures and put someone in charge who knows what they are doing maybe they'll get somewhere but the fact that people celebrate them beating WWE's farm league is hilarious.

It's also funny that AEW may end up having to switch nights after all of Jericho's bragging now that Turner has the NHL rights after NBC backed out. The only reason NXT moved in the first place was because NBC was planning on moving NHL to USA on Wednesday's and now that it's not going to happen anymore AEW may have to be moved for the same reason. TNT is a terrible place for them to be if they have to move, Tuesdays and Thursdays they'll be pre-empted a lot for NBA so they'll have to go to Monday or Friday which they'll lose handily.

I've said it before and I'll say it again but I miss when crowds used to be into the show and actually let themselves believe what was going on instead of trying to become part of the show like they do in modern wrestling.

1st time(well it's been a month)since Nitro was on that I stopped watching RAW.

At least back in the day I used to record it and watch it later as it was good.

I barely watch SD either but it's better.

They say Blood and Guts put wrestling back 30 years?
Well 30 years ago WWF put on a much better show with much higher ratings.

That's because this modern s*** is turning people off, non wwe matches/indie influenced crap makes no sense, the matches have no psychology to them they are just a series of moves, they don't try to work the crowds emotions etc. WWE needs to get better, Vince needs to go there is no doubt about that but they actually have what they need to create stars Vince just doesn't know how to do it anymore, he seems to work against the fans. AEW is a whole other mess and needs a lot more time to figure s*** out.

Are we so off that we are going to start posting botches? Cause WorstWrestlingEntertainment has decades worth.

You mean the botches that AEW are constantly putting copyright claims against Botchamania because they are a bunch of over sensitive babies?

Botch or not who the f*** would allow someone to do a move so pointlessly dangerous like that?

It's desperately trying to catch that Attitude Era buzz with the production skills of a backyard wrestling company.

The talent in both companies deserve better

Yeah these wwe fans are having memory issues

When was the last time you saw one in WWE TV? The Benoit murder-suicide Fallout got them banned and for good reason and wrestlers have been fined for doing it.
Happy they don't blade as well. Dangerous and always looked dumb as you could tell when a wrestler was doing it.
At least when they did stuff like Brock/Orton or even Owens/Vince it was done the hard way.

I don't care when the last time was.
Wwe has decades worth of mistakes.
Wwe hasn't been good in years and the ratings are on the decline.
Maybe it's time to go back to when it was good, not depend on corny special effects like Alexa appearing in the ring on a swing and or stop having the same matches 3-5 ppv's in a row.

So Jericho "may have broken his back" a week ago but is already on tv again LOL god these clowns can't do anything right, and now they are doing another one of those awful stadium matches?

I like Miro but the way he won was botched, the accolade can look like it hurts but that just looked like the 16 year old kid who was in there with him was taking a nap on his torso. I guess he fell asleep because the ref rang the bell, there was no reason to give up because that clearly wasn't a painful hold in the position they were in.

BTW I'm not watching the show live I watch clips online, I couldn't watch an entire dynamite the way it's done right now.

Yes WWE has made plenty of mistakes over 68 years. AEW should not be making those same mistakes in 2021.

The network makes ratings pointless. Too many watch through that and on demand. It would be like using ppv buys against them. Pointless.

Nope just happened to check a site and they had the stuff up already, doesn't take long these days.

I agree although I think blading once in a great while to sell the severity of something is ok but you can't focus the camera on a guy who's got a blade in his hand and or show him actually doing it either lol. Jericho had the blade in his hand for quite a while, someone who's been doing this for a thousand years like he has should have known better. There was too much blood in that match, one guy should have bled but not as many as did and Cash was bleeding a lot from what I saw, not sure how experienced he is with blading.

The chair shots to the head? I miss them only because it makes more sense to hit someone in the head than in the back but knowing now how much damage that it does anyone who actually wants to see them happen needs to take a step back and remember that's a human being in there who's got hopefully a lot of life yet to live and doesn't need their brain turned to mush. The blading isn't really all that dangerous unless you make a mistake and over do it but the shots to the head can pile up and the damage is lasting.

It was noted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that AEW Dynamite will need to shift things around in late May and early June for the NBA. This will also affect their go-home show prior to Double or Nothing.
The May 26th show will move to Friday, May 28th, two days prior to Double Or Nothing. They will air that show at 10:00 PM and go until Midnight. This is due to the NBA playoffs.
The June 2nd show will also air on Friday, June 4th. The NBA also has Playoff games slated for Wednesdays on June 9th through June 16th. We’ll have to see what the company decides to do.
The 10:00 to Midnight spot on Fridays would also mean that fans will have to change from SmackDown right to AEW Dynamite.

RIP to New Jack. The one true psychopath of professional wrestling. His dives were absolutely nuts to watch and still are. Keep this in mind, NJ claims to have usually been high on coke during the ECW days whenever he was asked to do those dives.

Wait until the NHL starts airing on TNT, a permanent change is probably coming and that's not good for AEW, the best possible night for them is the one they currently have.
