Compare the first four months of the PS4 to the first four months of other consoles. Its arguably one of the best machines to ever come out.

Indeed, which makes it all the more impressive that X1's launch lineup was even better than that, with multiple high budget, AAA franchise titles at launch.

That said, I actually think that Sony's got a very fine library of games, given this stage of their lifecycle with the console. Games are bigger than ever, more complicated than ever, and more difficult than ever before (which makes them more expensive than ever to make), so having the kind of quantity of quality content on both consoles at this point in their life is actually really, really impressive... and I just happen to think MS's suite of games is even more impressive... but that's not directly relevant to this thread. :)

Actually, the XBox One currently only has 6 games rated 80 or over on Metacritic. The PS4 has 17. Let that sink in for a moment.

Hahaha... right. There's actually 18 BTW.

Of those 18 games, you know how many are cross platform? 8.
Of those 10 remaining games, do you know how many are indie/small scope games, or just last-gen ports? 9.

...which leaves 1. Just 1 left.

That leaves ONE exclusive that's actually a new, interesting, non-tablet-like game... hahaha... And it's the one that's at the BOTTOM of the list (Infamous). Infamous might actually drop down into the 79 point range too. All it needs is another mediocre review, and even it would drop from the list, and Sony gamers would be left with nothing in the 80 range of real value that isn't a cross plat experience. Let's not forget Killer Instinct and Ryse, who's scores are unjustifiably low compared with some of those cheesy platformers and ports.

So yeah, those numbers are pretty meaningless.

Xbox One has THREE exclusive, high budget, NEW experiences already (which is THREE TIMES as much as Sony):
- Titanfall
- Forza Motorsport
- Dead Rising 3

Quality beats out quantity every time... and those three games are vastly superior in size, scope, and budget to ANYTHING on Sony's platform in the 80's, with the exception of Infamous.

So yeah, keep your tablet games, small-scope platformers, and ports. I'll stick with the next gen experiences only available on the X1 any day. If I want indie platforming, I can get WAY more on my phone, Surface, or PC - and at WAY less cost. Those games are a dime a dozen.

This right here folks is what we call rationalization. What a fine fine example of it.

Those barely HD ones with crappy performance. Dat true next gen.

Righttt. You die hard PS fans are funny. Your reputation precedes you. Glad i'm not on that wagon anymore. Yeah, i hype up Xbox games and the Xbox One but that's because i'm actually having that much fun playing the console and the games. You guys act like nothing can touch PS consoles.

I own a PS4, it's a great console and i'm loving Infamous. I enjoyed Killzone: Shadow Fall. But the notion that the Quad is going to blow the One away in quality is just laughable. I'd trade every incoming PS4 exclusive for Gears of War 4 alone and i'd say that to your face in person while keeping a straight face.

Yeah, Forza's 1080p locked 60fps (the only game on either console that's truly 1080p with locked 60fps with almost zero frame drops). Yeah, right.

Besides, as any true gamer will tell you - fun factor beats all else, and nothing on PS4 is as fun as addictive as Titanfall. Infamous is the only game on PS4 that stands up to Ryse in terms of overall graphical fidelity, and neither of those games have received excellent reviews for gameplay.

Gameplay>graphics. Every time, all the time.

Neither are short on gorgeous games, and neither are short on fun gameplay experiences. Pixel counters have made resolution more important than games - and that's fine - but if that's what's most important, ditch the PS4. It can't compete with PC's. Not by a long shot. I can build a PC today buying used parts for the same price or cheaper than a PS4, which vastly outperforms it.

So yeah, not really an issue.

If I was on a PC right now I would explain how laughable and full of sh1t your posts are. Even when I do get to a computer I imagine I will have more important things than worrying about your plastic worship.

There's no right or wrong answer here. I tend to like PS4's more since nothing on the Xbox One interests me right now except for maybe Ryse. PS+'s offerings also play a factor here for the PS4 since they are free and allowed me to experience those games which I probably would've not bought or heard about. No games offerings for Xbox One still so PS gets the nod here again.

And that's the answer i want to hear. Don't care for the Xbox One? That's fine, just give a valid reason besides trashing Microsoft and the entire fan base for enjoying the One. Nothing wrong with liking one console over the other but you have to have a reason other than just making yourself feel better about your purchase.

I've played my X1 more than my PS4 up to this point. Games like Ryse, Dead Rising, Forza and Titanfall have given me lot of hours of fun game-play. Killzone's campaign was good but I couldn't get into its multiplayer and I'm still waiting for the announced co-op mode that I'm starting to give up on with 4 months gone by without any info on release. I bought Ghosts for the PS4 thinking it would be as good as BLOPS2 and was sorrily disappointed. I need to get back into BF4 on PS4 since its been fixed for some time now, or at least so I've read. I do like Black Flag but mostly enjoy it for the pirate stuff and when its switches to the assassin stuff I get bored. Dead Nation and Resogun are good fun but are bite sized downloaded games. Infamous, whoa now that is an awesome PS4 exclusive, its a bit short on content for an open world game but its mega fun.

Its always been a slow burn for Sony to release their exclusives for their new consoles. But once that passes then its a constant release of hits for the most part. We just have to be a little patient.

That's why I prefer the PS4, that way I get both.

Funny... that's why I prefer X1. I get both, plus I get home-theatre control with my voice, and higher budget/bigger scope/'newer' gaming experiences PS4 just can't compete with.

Works out well for both of us, I suppose. :)

Quality over quantity, my friend.

Killzone & Infamous are the only two PS4 titles of interest in that list, other than cross plat titles.

In X1's, you've got Titanfall, Dead Rising, Forza, Ryse, and Killer Instinct.

5 great games is better than 2 great games.

...and 5 great games are also better than 100 mediocre tablet games.

WTF is with the troll threads? anyone who answers PS4 flynn and his xbros are just going to say no you're wrong in some long winded BS way. I may as well answer PS4 for me as I don't f***ing car about racers or give two s***s about TF.

This should end well. Personally the PS4 has zero that has held my attention, until The Show...98% of my gaming is on the One.

Man the mods are really going to have to start to hammer down and start banning people off parts of this forum. Last post I'm making in this troll thread. Good luck to you mods.

- A good portion of PS4's green games are indies, multiplats or HD remakes
- PS4's overall best games are indies, multiplats or HD remakes
- Many of the multiplat green games score better on X1
- Some games like BF4 and AC4 weren't even reviewed enough to make it show up for X1
- X1's exclusives cover a wider variety of games. And something unique like Project Spark or the various Kinect games aren't even out yet
- Steamworld Dig scores higher than Infamous
- Titanfall is X1's key exclusive. It's made by a third party company, was rushed to use an outdated game engine (Source), is handcuffed by EA's draconian policies, yet scores higher than Sony's key first party games: KZ, Infamous and Mark Cerny's baby... Knack. And I bet Titanfall will have a longer lasting community than any of those three games

All I'm going to say is: As a pc and a ps4 owner i have been struggling to find a reason for getting an X1. But at this point in time? It offers absolutely nothing that interests me. I don't consider Titanfall an x1 exclusive because i have it installed on my PC, so.

Pretty much my reason for going PS4/PC this gen as well. If I wanted to play Titanfall, I can just buy it for the PC.

I swear some of you guys can't help yourself with these "Vs" threads. Its not enough to enjoy the games on the respective systems, oh no, it has to be turned into a "this is definitively better than this, here are my reasons why and no other argument is valid".

If you really want to have this discussion how about we wait until both consoles have been on the market for a year. 5 months into the next gen is a bit premature to have a which console has the best line up of games talk.
