Xbox Microsoft to Develop More TV Programs as It Readies Xbox One

Going off previous numbers MS has a couple Mill lead over Sony in the UK and now a couple K over Nintendo.

Be interesting to see what GTA V sells best on.

People give MS a lot of flak for being late to the party in the major industries..but they always seem to fail to realize that until a few years ago MS had their hands tied by the anti-trust crap that went on in the early 2000's. Look at what they did between 2000-2010, then look at what they have been trying to do since.

I have no doubts that they will.
I'm also hoping they announce something big just before launch to get people even more pumped about the system. Something totally unexpected, something that will create lots of buzz. If they do ,remember this post.

hopefully they keep this momentum with Xbox One.
They are going to struggle to maintain that momentum at ÂŁ425.

The 360's price in the UK was spot on from launch, the barrier to entry was low for the Core and was a mainstream friendly price.

Expect a big price cut or a Kinect-less model around March/April.

No surprise. The Xbox 360 has been the game console this gen. It's got such an amazing and HUGE library of games.

Less TV shows. More first party games. Thank you.

They have invested $1bil in first party gaming already. They are throwing cash at just about every aspect of the platform. Gaming isn't the slightest bit starved for funds on X1.

Why can't we have both? The Xbox One is the all in one set top box. It delivers the best of both worlds. TV, movies, gaming. There's something for everyone on the One.
This is really what I'm banking on.

Is it Gold only now? Don't think MS have ever separated the Silver/Gold numbers?

Maybe all those bloody subscribers means they can lower the price sometime.

I understand that not being free has probably gave it the edge over PSN (I didn't know you had to load the PStore independently, this is an outrage to my short attention span!) but cabon shelly, a $20 price drop would go so far.

MS make so much off Gold they will feel no need to lower it.

Instead they will continue to add as much stuff for Gold members. Remember when Gold first started it was just for online gaming but now days you get so much more.

Got a link? As I said all Ive ever seen MS do is bundle the 2 together.

Xbox Live is amazing. I can't WAIT to see how awesome it is on Xbox One.

It was said at the Financial Analysts meeting, MS should post a video soon. The session with Kevin Turner. He said "PAID" subscription service, which means Gold sub.

Because I buy video game consoles for video games. Anything else is a bonus. Has the Xbox gotten better since they focused more on other forms on entertainment? I personally don't feel like it has.

To be fair they said that about games in general. They weren't just talking first party. If it is going to be like the 360 the exclusives will dry up thanks to their less then impressive 1st party studios.

Yup, I agree. I don't see people complaining about a lack of vision on the Playstation even though Sony also makes movies.

Xbox has continued to improve night and day since it was released in 2005, and it wasn't at the expense of new TV/video related features.

I see no reason why Microsoft can't have a TV division in their entertainment group.

Not sure why they need to pour more resource on TV shows. I mean, why not more games? We got like thousands of TV shows available right now, and the last thing we need is MS produced TV shows. Anyone remember Viva Pinata show?

My son watched all of the Viva Pinata's. There must be good revenue in Television, otherwise they wouldn't do it.
