I dont know why people keep saying switch when they said Ninendo, I am going with the next gen console.
Maybe their next next gen console will include “switch”. Like the gameboy (color/advance) and the DS (3DS/XL) or PlayStation.

I really can’t see them not using it, if it is another “hybrid console”, like the steam deck?

Sony looking real bad right now, I see even die hard fans beginning to question why Sony keeps at it even when the whole world looks in disgust.

He was on a podcast recently and said MS announcing the price raise to $70 now is so they can offer keeping it at $60 as a concession to regulators.

Sony has officially lost their marbles. Here is their response to the 10 year COD deal on Nintendo (article is locked behind a paywall):

From @Idas Response from Sony

A new internal report from MLex says this:

Microsoft's Call of Duty deal with Nintendo is misleading, Sony argues

Sony has criticized Microsoft's deal to make the game Call of Duty available on Nintendo — should its $69 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard be approved by regulators — as smoke and mirrors, MLex has learned.

Activision Blizzard could supply Call of Duty to Nintendo today, but doesn't, because Nintendo's younger audience is not interested in the first-person shooter and a previous version of the game on its console was a commercial flop, the arch critic of the deal says, MLex understands.

Instead of being a logical business decision, the licensing agreement is a tactic designed to make Microsoft — whose acquisition has drawn concerns in the EU, UK and US — look cooperative with regulators, the argument goes.

Furthermore, Nintendo's Switch could not run Call of Duty easily and may never be able to, Sony argues, MLex understands. Developing a version of the game compatible with the Switch could take years, making a 10-year licensing deal meaningless.

It is easier for Nintendo to enter into such an agreement, Sony says, MLex has learned. Nintendo doesn't need to worry about equal treatment for its subscription service or cloud gaming service as those are not areas where it currently competes aggressively, the argument goes.

I don't recall anyone saying any Xbox One game couldn't be run on the Switch in a modified form. Isn't it 900p and 60 FPS on the Xbox One? Make it 720p and 30 FPS and you're probably set.

By the time the deal is done 2024 will see the first game on a Nintendo console so yeah they could scale a Switch version back but its more reason for me to think the Switch 2 will be out and they will just release on that.

Which is why Phil said Nintendo and not Switch.

What a mess. The FTC should be breaking up dozens of other companies that have way, way more market power. Walk down any supermarket and see how few companies actually compete. Sure they all run under different brands, but they are all ultimately owned by one or two companies. Companies have been jacking up prices and making record profits. Video gaming is one of the few markets that have not had this problem. Next gen game consoles are still a great bang for the buck and even $70 games is reasonable compared to the price of other things.

The thing is now no matter what Sony have burned those bridge's with Activision to the point that if this somehow doesn't go through they aren't going to get any COD perks after this.
Any deals will go straight to MS after this anyways.
