Call of duty: Gamepass day 1 - PS5 full price for a few years then exclusive

Overwatch: Gamepass day 1 - see above

Diablo 4: Gamepass day 1 - See above

Elder Scroll: Gamepass day 1 - PS5... they wish

You see why Sony don't want this deal to go through.

Fixed for you.

"Microsoft is committing to keeping Call of Duty on PlayStation for “several more years” beyond the existing marketing deal Sony has with Activision. Microsoft Gaming CEO and Xbox chief Phil Spencer made the commitment in a written letter to PlayStation head Jim Ryan earlier this year, and it’s the clearest sign yet that Call of Duty won’t suddenly disappear from PlayStation platforms if Microsoft’s $68.7 billion deal is approved by regulators."

Haven't played COD since Ghosts lol

But if it's coming to GP , I might if it has coop.

I'd rather be playing Killer Instinct.

Haven’t checked in a while. Does Sony have a GP type of service? If so, maybe pay MS to put it on there?

Yes , launched this summer. PS Plus Extra and Premium.

Don't think it would make sense for Sony, they want the sales revenue.

Sony knows what is in the detail, Sony will continue to have it on PlayStation, MS just won't let it go on their online service. Again, one gets it on Gamepass day one, and the other gets it at $70 a pop.

This is clear as day.
Yes it is clear.

You are the only one that didn't get it. The Wolf King and others know where I was going. So, I will leave it as that.

There was an interesting point that was brought up on a podcast that I was listening to. This is all based on lots of "what if", but if MS does decide to move away from releasing COD every 1-2 years and pushes out to a more traditional 3-4 year cycle, it would hopefully improve quality. But what I hadn't thought about was about how this could potentially help competition by opening larger windows for other developers. COD, even when it sucks, sells incredibly well, so even in down years it syphons away from the sales of competition.

They have a 3 year cycle now. MW 2019 to MW 2 in 2022.

I know, but each game has a 3 year cycle. So, stopping the yearly releases wont do much outside of massively decreasing revenue.
I hear you. It's all hypothetically based on keeping the main series going with a single studio (or cycling them through) and freeing other studios for additional projects.

I base my opinion based on others they bought and thus far it seems like business as usual. Having said that, they will get more freedom. Where that freedom leads is unknowable.

Sony passing out brown envelopes like it's a 3rd party exclusivity deal.
