That and the other Ubisoft subscription they added. Total bulls***. I don’t want either of those two things. I’m hoping for some serious backlash from fans on this.

Really debating whether I want to redeem a bunch of 3 month core cards to extend my subscription or just let it lapse at the end of December. I don’t really play a ton of gamepass games other than the day 1 big releases

I don’t think I could give it all up for PC , besides ease of use, my Xbox and switch are the go to for enjoying it with family and friends. My nieces squad up with their cousins online, and got some reason use FaceTime on their phones to talk to each other

IMO console gaming's BIG appeal over PC gaming was always traditionally the ease of use and relative portability. Both of those advantages seemingly being chipped away at by handheld pcs and PC storefronts that work on any device.

I'll wait a few months after releases and probably pay sub $50 for AAA games instead, it's cheaper. The fortnite thing boggles my mind too... I mean, lol

That's way too much as well. Even when it was $60 for an entire year was absurd to me.

I think a lot of people have moved from Xbox and PS to play on PC, where online gaming is free and Steam sales are huge.

I only play a handful of games online anyway. I play the 2 Division games, the last 3 Forza games and a couple of other Ubisoft games on PC for free. I can't justify paying to play games online at all.

Feel like they should include a new tier and just have the old features, sans fortnite and ubi+

Agreed, there was one point in time where GP was a great value. Now is not that time. On that note I just canceled my game pass sub.

I really don’t get what they’re doing with Xbox in general. It seems like they take a step forward, stop, then take 1-2 steps backwards.

The current trajectory seems like the brand will diffuse into the gaming ecosystem with no real central point over the next few years, unless the next Xbox launched with some monster exclusive titles. And even then, it’s not looking great.

What's funny to me is that price increases are inevitable (not that I like it, nor am I defending it). Customers will vote with their wallets, and time will tell if MS's gamble pays off.

That said, I guarantee MS studied the hell out of the price increase and did tons of focus group research to determine the price. It wasn't just some random price hike. So according to MS, they know they'll lose customers, but ultimately it'll be better for the bottom line.

I haven't had the incentive to even get Xbox Live Core or whatever it was/used to be called, because I seriously don't have enough time to play a videogame to justify the cost.

I had Gamepass Ultimate for a few years and did the whole "buy a Xbox Live Gold card and it turns into Gamepass).

That was affordable.

Now? Who has time to play that many games? It's all just stupid and I guess my series X might as well be a brick at this point.

Not sure. I just remember getting the OG Xbox on launch day from Futureshop here. A few days before I went to a "launch party" thanks to some guy who developed Cel Damage.

Then being a beta tester for Xbox Live and played the crap out of Moto GP and it was hilarious and I was talking to people on my headset that were in Australia.

This is just getting stupid at this point and I have no interest anymore.

Speak up with you wallets by not opening them. Turn off recurring payments. Send a message.

Same. I stopped the sub today. The last games I played were Doom and Experdition 33. No game interested my for months. The Quanity of quality of games over time (IMO) do not match the price.

Which is why they are dead last by a distance in console market share for 2 gen.....
