Holy s***! Life is Strange 2 ep 2-5 is also coming to Game Pass!?

So you can play the entire story of Life is Strange, the Prequel episodes AND the new season ( which just started) on Game pass.

How'd they strike a deal with DONTNOD for this!?

Xbox Game Pass: Just Cause 3, Life Is Strange, Ark: Survival Evolved, And More This January
January 2nd 2019, 8:06 AM PT

Lives are strange (even stranger in video games). Have you ever jumped into a game because you wanted to be someone else? Like a high school student with superpowers that can stop time, a sneaky invisible robot in space, or perhaps you just want to be a farmer riding his tractor all day. Maybe even be the tractor!
Okay, you can’t be the tractor.
But you can be so many other people thanks to January’s Xbox Game Pass titles! We have many great games coming your way, in addition to the over 100 great games already included in your membership, that run the gamut from the punch in the feelings from the Life is Strange series (which we sneakily added over the holidays), to an actual punch in the face from Just Cause 3.
Without further ado, let’s jump into the new games:
Life is Strange Complete Season (Episodes 1-5) (December 20)
Welcome to the portside town of Arcadia Bay. In the seminal award-winning narrative adventure game Life is Strange, you play as Max, a high school senior who discovers that not only can she rewind time, but that all her actions, no matter how big or small, have consequences that will last a lifetime.
Life is Strange: Before the Storm (Episodes 1-3) (December 27)
A three-episode arc taking place years before the first game, Before the Storm puts you in the shoes of Chloe Price, whose rebellious character formed much of original game’s tone. As Chloe struggles with difficult changes in her own life, she will need to support her friend Rachel whose world continues to be rocked and shaken.
Life is Strange 2: Part 1 (January 3)
A new adventure with new characters and the prevailing themes of friendship, family, and mystery the series has come to be known for. Life is Strange 2 will follow the path of two brothers, Sean and Daniel Diaz, as they are forced to flee from their home after an unexplainable and tragic event. Experience this first episode with Xbox Game Pass, plus look out for episodes 2-5 coming to Xbox Game Pass soon.
Ark: Survival Evolved (January 3)
Ever wanted to run around on a mysterious, futuristic island full of giant dinosaurs? Cool, we thought so too. Which is why we’re bringing Ark: Survival Evolved to Xbox Game Pass in January. You’ll have to craft, hunt, and survive against not only the ferocious local wildlife, but the hundreds of other players as well all in the hopes of escaping the shores of this deadly island.
Farming Simulator 17 (January 3)
It’s time to live out your dream as a farmer, but without that whole, getting dirt under your fingernails business. In Farming Simulator 17 you will have access to over 250 vehicles and equipment to help harvest a variety of crops, take care of livestock, and then sell your goods to your local market and continue to expand your farming empire so you can take over the world… ok, maybe that’s too far. But you can ride a tractor!
Absolver (January 7)
Live out a life as martial arts expert focused on a variety of fighting skills, weapon knowledge, and hand-to-hand combat in the competitive, online world of Absolver. Journey across forsaken lands and come face to face with others like you, learning new combat skills, obtaining new weapons, gear, and armor along the way, all in the hopes of being considered worthy enough to be welcomed into the corps of the Absolvers.
Just Cause 3 (January 10)
Cause chaos on a massive scale to take down a Mediterranean island’s evil dictator. Return as Rico Rodriguez in the third entry of this awesome open world action game that lets you skydive, swoop across mountain ranges, hijack vehicles, and experiment in all sorts of unique, hilarious, and explosive ways to get your mission done.
Aftercharge (January 10)
Aftercharge is a bit like a cat and mouse game. But in space. With invisible robots (and no cats). With teamwork at its core, two teams of three players compete against one another – one must sneak across the battlefield to shatter six cylinders; the other is completely invincible, armed to the teeth, and must stop that from happening. Both teams need to work together, either coordinating attacks or creating distractions, all in the hopes of coming out on top.
Absolver? Nice. I thought it was PS4 exclusive.

I downloaded and played Ark for a few hours. Fun survival game I like it. Not sure how long I’ll stick with it, seems like a huge time sink.

Hopefully it’s not an indication of where the series is financially.
Yeah.... these types of games doesn't seem to sell much anymore though, just look at that sale statistic chart for telltales games.
I hope I'm wrong, I did enjoy the first season.

So I'm thinking about joining this for the dollar deal they've got going on...As someone who doesn't have all that much time for gaming and really has missed out on most of the generation, what SP game do you recommend the most that's on Game Pass currently? Want to dig in to something tonight.

Was thinking something like maybe Sunset Overdrive? But honestly IDK I'm sure there's better games out there.

I say that was the right decision. Its going to get delisted eventually so its worth owning.

And the physical copies have skyrocketed in price
I still own the og xbox version of MvC2 on disc, was about to sell it when it went up in price here but hold off considering it wasn't really worth more than maybe 20 beers at the pub.

Sniper Elite 4 is on there,Mutant Zero Hour is hard but a nice XCom type game if you like those,Ori is hard also but very nice as well....Recore,State of Decay is playable solo...Sunset Overdrive is a good one,it was too complicated for me but a lot of people like it...lots of stuff lol ;)

Sunset Overdrive is a great choice - keep in mind it takes a couple of hours for the game to get really good (you learn the traversal mechanics during the first two hours).

I started playing Mutant Zero Hour and I'm loving it so far - but I'm also a huge fan of turn-based games.

Celeste is a punishing game. If you can stand it, go for that game. Otherwise, I recommend Ori - it's a fun game that has a similar type of gameplay.

Sunset is a great game, it doesn't really take long to finish it either and there's really not any part that drags or become repetitive. I can recommend it.
As mentioned above, tomb raider, prob the best game on it. Forza horizon 4 is great, can't stand forzas main game series, too deep and too much simulation, FH is racing but pure fun.
Also if you like burnout series, you have to play Onrush, it's basically burnout takedown but better imo.
Doom
Gears of war 1 - 4 (most are also enhanced)
All Halos
Hitman season 1
Life is strange
Nina Gaiden black
Resident evil zero and 1
Ryse (extremely underrated imo)
Shadow complex (amazing metroidvania game)
Hunter call of the wild (soothing hunting simulator)
Was going to say fallout 4 but I think they withdrew that a few months ago.

Kind of feel bad for their first game. Started as a procedurally generated game. People got upset and they had to redo the game. I like it but it isn't perfect. That is why the sandbox part was still being made. I need to fire it up and see.

Nice. I’ve wanted to try WHF, and Shadow of Mordor is an excellent game too.

We happy few is pretty fun once you get into it, which I suspect not many people have as only 8 percent have unlocked a story achievement after a couple hours play.

I'm liking it so far. Love the art style of the game. I just reached the trainstation after the headboy camp.
