This was one of the games shown at the indie showcase they did a bit back that I thought looked really cool, I need to remember to download this one.
Man-eater is now on GP looking forward to trying this bad boy out. Didn't someone say there was a bit of ray tracing?
Mechwarrior 5 is awesome. The controls are not complicated and I got used to them pretty quickly. The graphics are nothing to write about however the destruction is impressive because most structures can be demolished. In fact some missions require the destruction of bases which is a lot of fun. You can hire pilots and their Mechs as allies but their AI is dumb as a box of rocks. But they do make for good decoys in battle.
Thanks to GamePass for releasing Mechwarrior 5. I think Xbox is the only console platform this is released on. Its awesome that we are getting once PC only titles like this.

Yup, and there are lots of contract missions available in different star systems to extend the game by many hours. There's even DLC available with even more content. I haven't tried co-op yet but I can only imagine how much fun it must be. I've been in missions with lots of allied forces going up against a large enemy force and its awesome seeing all the weapon effects and explosions going on.
I read this was an Epic Store exclusive that ran up until December 2020. It seems MSFT moved in very quickly to secure this game and I wonder how long it took the devs to implement controller support. Perhaps it was already there for the PC version. Whatever the case this game is awesome.
Be warned, there are some systems which require looking after, mainly your Mercenary Company's expenses. Repairs can be quite expensive and can vary depending on the Star System you're in. And just traveling to different Systems costs so even seemingly minor decisions can have an impact. I enjoy managing these details but it might not be for some.
Coincidence these only go to June 10, 2 days before E3, 3 days before Xbox's E3 presser? They usually cover the first 14-15 days with the first announcement.
I tried out Maneater night for a few hours. Was surprised how much dumb fun it is lol.
Once I got the hang of the controls and combat then got out of the first swamp area I was having a good time. My family was getting a kick out of watching me play it.

I've been meaning to check this out more - I got the emails from the game from Frontier (Elite Dangerous developers, also working on the F1 Manager sim games from 2022) and it sounded intriguing. So I'll definitely give it an install and a play.
