I'm sure MGS5 was on here before then taken off, and even maybe a GWG game, oh well at least there's been plenty lately to keep busy

Can't talk, too busy playing Shadow of War. ;)

It actually did hit at a perfect time, though. After I played Shadow of Mordor I played through moonlighter - loved that game! - and then Shadow of War dropped when I was finishing up my NG+ on Moonlighter. Not sure what's next, but damn this is value for the no real money I've put into it. :)

Not exactly the best month..KI, RE4, MGS5..lots of games people already own or have played. This month should've been fire with the summer vacation.
We also got Dead Rising 4, Shadow of War, Blazing Chrome, Lego City Undercover and a few more indies. Not a bad month IMO as I have played none of those listed (outside KI).

I’ll tell you I just do no enjoy Prey. Played it for the gamepass quest and was interested due to the hype, but the enemies are annoying and it feels kinda clunky to play.

It quadruples sales for Descenders

Sounded like b*******, right? Weirdly, it's true. It surprised me. Being on Xbox Game Pass means that you basically have constant featuring on Xbox. Your game is on the dashboard all the time... People are seeing our game every day. And because of that, during launch month, our Xbox sales — we didn't do any discounts on it or anything — quadrupled, and have now settled to about three times as much as before. It's essentially an advert; a straight-up advert. And now Xbox is asking, 'Oh, can we feature Descenders in more of the Xbox Game Pass advertising?' Yes, you can. Of course you f****** can.

Sorry for laziness, but I don't understand this at all... laziness from not checking price of said game but I'm guessing it'll be cheaper to just get gamepass for a month and play it (and hundreds of other games) for *free instead of buying it?

Perhaps, but it may depend on the length of a games presence on GamePass...like overcooked, I had tons of fun playing it for free but then one day I went to go play it and it wasn’t on there any longer, saying I don’t own it, so I bought it.

The GamePass tab and app list what games will be leaving each month.

It’s been brought up by many indie devs, that pushes their advertising for free, on a semi correlated section, and can be part of those reward points missions.

So more interaction and visibility helps, even if it’s indirectly.

Those that had game pass, even the $1 promo at the time (or current subscribers) get 20% off the game. They buy the game if they like it because it eventually will leave Game Pass, besides first party games which are permanent.

But... has it left? Why buy it when it's right there... for free?

But it’s not free, and it won’t be there forever. And it’s 20% off retail.

Yes it’s over after your promo expires.

People love to support indie devs, especially with games they enjoy, there isn't anything like descenders on the market, mountain biking is hugely popular all over the world, and is a pretty fun game, so I'm guessing they buy the game to show support and before it leaves gamespass.

I've thought of doing it myself a couple times (for indie games) but I'm too cheap haha. I did buy Ori twice though (again when the definitive edition came out).

There is no context here. This game was in game preview and went into gamepass on day 1 of full release, if memory swrves me correctly. So , where are they getting this "quadraupled sales" from?

This is great gaming right here, does anyone know if you need to finish the DMC reboot before playing DMC5? I've made it through half of the game then it just got buried

Game Pass has really changed how I look at retail releases. At least for the somewhat lower tier of games. For example a while back during one of the many Xbox sales I was looking at what to pick up and when I narrowed down the list to either Darksiders 3 or Devil May Cry 5 it came down to which I thought would hit Game Pass first.

I went with DMC 5 thinking Darksiders 3 would hit the service first. I was wrong about which would be available first but right in the thinking that I didn’t need both because one and/or both would become available on Game Pass at some point. And with games that are still pretty new being made available for the service I think it’ll have an impact on how many games I buy going forward if I ever get a handle on my poor impulse control to purchase games I don’t have time to play.

Stellaris looks interesting. Looks like a love child of the Civilization series and No Mans Sky.

Don't forget that you have to pay for any DLC you want, so if it goes off gamepass, you'd have to buy it use that DLC.

I didn't know Dead Cells is on Game Pass........need to check that out.

Just read over on IGN that Metroidvania Bloodstained Ritual of the Night will be arriving on Game Pass tomorrow along with a couple other games. I hope many of these games remain on Game Pass for a while because its going to be impossible for me to get to them any time soon and yet MSFT keeps on releasing new games.
