Why would they? They are standalone headsets. Why take a standalone system and make it dependent on an Xbox.Hmmm....I wonder if MS is partnering with Meta on bringing VR to Xbox? I have a Quest 2 and I "like" it and think it's a cool piece of tech (fully standalone VR)...but have had it almost 2 years and have only played once or twice in the last year. VR is cool/fun way to play but there just isn't the breadth/depth of games out there to keep you playing consistently IMO. Thus, in my view, MS has been smart to not jump in with both feet.
If they do jump in, partnering with Meta or another headset manufacturer would be the best approach. Next gen quest headset (not the $1K + one) but without the onboard hardware for local processing could come in at $100 cheaper (say $299 or so). Again, not really that hyped for VR but if MS wants to do it, I think there are options for them to get it off the ground. Also, potentially having Halo VR, Foza VR, Starfield VR, etc. experiences might get some more juices flowing.
Because all the money in VR is seemingly from the hardware. It's odd MS are so against bringing it to Xbox. Maybe Kinect put them off investing into the next possible fad.

Started playing Sniper Elite 4. Can't say I'm enjoying it. The first map is just too huge, and I don't have the patience to play that kind of game anymore.
I'm that way sometimes too. For Sniper Elite 4, many of the objectives are optional. You could just do the main objective and move on. It's surprisingly quick to complete. I think I did a map a night. You probably feel rushed too, because your playing titles which are leaving gamepass. In the end, just relax and play games you are enjoying.Started playing Sniper Elite 4. Can't say I'm enjoying it. A very long time. But with Cloud Gaming getting more mature I do wonder how long stand alone consoles will be a thing.
