Imo if someone has no idea what they own and what it does that’s on them. Information is at our fingertips if you take the time to look it up. I’ve never been uniformed on a purchase on anything that I can remember going back to my 20’s.RANT:
I really do hope that the next gen xbox goes for a more simplified naming system. Helix seems just fine to me. Avoid anything with an X or S suffix. Cause I was looking online ( read Reddit and retail forums) and the amount of idiocy/uninformed is staggering.
Swaths of people upset that a game or feature doesn't work for their xbox, only to find out that they have a One S or One X not a Series S/X and they didn't know the difference.
I think Sony realized consumers are dumb early and stuck with the simple numbering pattern for the PlayStation. Nintendo had to learn the hard way with the Wii and Wii U and have made clear definitive breaks in generations. Its time for Microsoft to do the same.
I also agree they should keep the next XBox name something simple.
