Xbox One can read the HDMI signal from a PS4

The PS4 will be my X1's little b@#$h! Oh snap!

Doesn't this just make the XBone the "slave device"?

If the PS4 is getting the better exclusives and third party versions, then the Xbone is there to just give you access to those games.

^ That was weird.

Huh. I'm still leaning towards "why" here, but I guess if that's your thing. I think I'd rather just play the game.

Just look at all the fanboy hatred leveled at each console. You'll have every troll and his ugly sister running games from each console side by side to find the most minute difference...

In your own little world maybe but not everybody else.
If you connect the PS4 then that makes it a slave and X1 the Master. Sometimes I think that was also part of the design to do that.
Why turn on both when you can just play the Master Console. You can SNAP that!

Yeah, Xbox One is the master system and everything else will be the slave system. Out of curiosity checked the actual meaning of the word snap and as a noun it was defined as follows :

Snap: a quick, sudden action or movement, as the flick of a whip......

Masters usually have the whip you dig........lol

Don't both have to be turned on for that?

Xbox One: It does everything, including play Playstation 4!

No it wasn't....when has it been known that you could play Ryse and Killzone at the same time in snap mode?

When we found out PS4 had HDMI out and XBO had HDMI in? Like have people really never heard of HDMI in or how it works? It's really simple...like painfully straightforward.

This is like finding out/MS confirming your Zune can play MP3s from the Amazon Music store.

Well in all fairness, some MP3 players don't play music from the Amazon music store :p cough Apple cough.

So you assumed because PS4 had HDMI out and XBO had HDMI in you could play Ryse and Killzone at the same time in snap mode? I thought maybe you could swich to the PS4 but to play in snap mode at the same time? Show me a link or a thread where you or anybody thought you could play both games at the same time on the same screen or STFU.

You can snap xbox one to ps4 but I don't think you get pnp mode. I think it can snap apps and Windows 8.

If you switch input then it will go from xbox one to ps4, but not split screen.

Snap mode is side by side mode. If he was talking about instant switching from PS4 to XBOX one then I could see that being obvious....but he wasn't.

Actually I was talking about the general ability to plug a PS4 into an Xbox, the fact people needed confirmation on it is head scratch worthy. The better question would be why WOULDN'T it work? MS already stated how HDMI In works so it doesn't take much to figure out hey...this would apply to PS4 or anything with HDMI out really. Unless Albert misspoke and it's still HDMI in or Xbox One and not concurrently.

If anything the real take away is you no longer have to switch between your HDMI In'ed device (Cable TV being the main selling point) and Xbox like they showed during the reveal, but rather you can you can use them side by side. Which means they've done some work on their OS and how it handles multiple applications of various size and nature.

Uh you can definitely play music from the Amazon store on Apple devices, I do it all the time.
