I am still using my 360 controller for PC. I think its on its last leg & the receiever has always giveme issue. I am in market for a new controller & I am wondering which one is better.

People who tried both, what are your opinion? Other no MS choice can also be recommended as long as price are comparable

The Series X and the Xbox one Controller are so close that they're interchangeable. The Series X has a more clicky D-pad that's the only difference IMO.

I'm using a Xbox One controller on my PC but that because its custom from the design lab.

The brand new XSX controller is definitely better, however the difference isn't massive. If you find an old one cheap, the difference isn't much. There's a share button on there, and there's nicer texture on the grip. Overall the controller feels a little better, but again if you can find an old one for much cheaper, I'd go with the old. If the cost is the same, definitely grab a newer one.

I’d go with the new one, it just feels better, dono if it’s me but the sticks feel like they have more resistance like the 360 controller, the dpad is great and almost clicky.

It uses type c

You may be able to find the new one on sale atm.

I don't notice much of a difference, outside of the dedicated share button and the Elite 2 dpad. Oh, and the fake textured grips.

I wouldn't let anyone pry away the Elite 2 away from my hands though.

I have been noticing lately that when I go back to my Elite 1 (Xbox One) controller, it now feels sluggish. I cannot be the only one that notices this! I suppose it could be that my projector adds delay, and the controller responsiveness is more noticeable because of this? The Series X controller just feels like more of an upgrade than I was expecting. All Xbox One controllers feel kinda "slippy" now, too, without the grip on all the right places. XSX controller just feels much more TIGHT to me. I'm glad they are all compatible though. I just find it more noticeably different than most.

Elite 1? :laugh::laugh::laugh:

Just kidding dude. Yeah, there is no doubt that the new controllers these days have better response times and will be less sluggish than the Elite 1. I know that MS added latency improvements to the new controllers, but they said they were going to firmware old controllers to have that new update as well. Not sure if that ever went live for Xbox One controllers. I would look to see if that is live, and if it is, see if you need to prompt your Elite 1 for an update?

WTF, Elite 1 is now a relic? 😔

Well, it should have technology miles ahead of his 360 controller, let alone better than 1st gen Xbox One controller. I never noticed my Xbox One X controller having a noticeable improvement like that! I ALWAYS preferred the Elite!

I don't think that they changed the response time tchnology within the generation, but maybe just within the software updates.

I did already try to update the Elite BTW, and it said that it was up to date. Will try again, as that was a couple weeks ago. Can they actually improve response time on Series X without newer technology in the controller? I'd be surprised, but I hope they can. I do appreciate all that MS does on the backend.

My Elite 1 is garbage and it probably has the least amount of usage of my XBO controllers. I say it's garbage because I didn't use it that much and the grips are like half way off the thing. Also the RB is a little dicey as well....pretty much the worst controller investment I ever made...I won't buy the Elite 2 as a result unless I see it for super cheap.

I like the SX controller better as folks are saying RE: the grips and better d-pad. It's not a night and day difference but just enough to make it better.

I like the texture too. Couldn't give a salty nut sweatdrop about the share button but the feel of the controller on the XSX is muy bueno.

No matter which one you choose it will be in another league compared to that 360 controller.

I'm still rocking my elite 1. Love it.

I did have replace the bumpers and grips, but I love the magnets and paddles.cant play any other way. Can't believe it wasn't standardized

I'm finally getting used to the size of the new xsx default controller. It's smaller and it took a while to adjust - was hurting my hands for a week or so.

Yeah, don't get me wrong, I like all of it conceptually and mostly in practice but the quality was just not there for all of the components. I wanted to love the paddles but kept hitting them accidentally so I just removed them. Now that I paly RB6 all of the time, using the paddles to lean would be f*cking awesome (assuming I could not accidentally hit it all the time). If I see the v2 for cheap-ish I might take a chance on it.

Pretty much same. I didn't have too much hurt but my son was commenting on it for the first week or so but nothing from him since.

I took my paddies off after the first day on my Elite 1. Took them off immediately on my Elite 2. I accidentally hit them all the time that first day. I was like f this.
