Test Drive
Xbox One is hitting the road with four decked out Xbox One trucks. Meet us at a Test Drive stop in one of the cities below and we'll put a controller in your hands, a game on the screen, and a spring in your step that'll carry you through to launch.

Area One
Drop in** on one of our Area One parties to experience the new Xbox One console before it goes on sale November 22. With live music, live gameplay, and more, you and your friends can paint the town green. Be sure to bring your ID: This event is 18+ only!

I don't know why they would have the Toronto Area One event in such an odd location. Not sure I'll be able to easily hit that up using transit, so probably won't go.

I'll check out a truck if there's one near-by.

When I was in Gamescom, they issue wristbands to identify your age also. But kids under 18 can still go in. Probably to easily identify if certain games are suitable for the person. That is of course, if you can be mistaken for being below 18.

I guess they do not want the hassle to identify if certain games are play by someone not suitable.

nah, probably so that if you break something you'll be held responsible and not the parents....I don't know really???

also, secks? but yeah, I'm sure a lot of it has to do with liability.

edit: no stops in Michigan but 2 in Wisconsin? the hell?!

Ann Arbor > Green Bay and Milwaukee

Awesome, come to NY 12 hours before release..... o_O o_O o_O o_O
I think they are not intended for people dead set on getting the unit at launch or have already pre-ordered, & but for others still on the fence, or get some goodwill. If you live near the place why not.

I need to check, but I think the nearest event is at Berlin for me, which is still a considerable 350 miles journey, & unless I planned to go there, I am happy to be at home, & wait 2 more days at launch for my unit, if I do get the unit at launch. I have already try out some of the games at Gamescom, so I am cool about it.

Moreover, waiting in line to play games (presume outdoor) in November weather is not very interesting for me.

They had an open bar at the surface event I went to. It was supposedly limited to one drink but you know how that works out. It was fun though.
That would make sense if the drinking age were 18, but it's 21 in the U.S. I'm guessing starseeker is right and it's for who can play certain games.

Awesome! I was going to be in Green Bay anyway that weekend for a Packer game. This just makes it that much better!

Probably that whole NFL partnership thing - maybe the Lions don't have any home games around that time? I know the Jacksonville event is at a Jaguars game, which I actually contemplated attending.

Going to the NJ or Philly. Whichever ends up being closest.. this is pretty awesome.
