Had no idea about the cross chat thing, also never used it. It's a given now that cross play seems going to be the norm. To bad the PS5 players gets handicapped, less stable versions against the xbox and pc players in regards to the presumed gimped 9tfl console they'll release.

umm no

Hopefully Microsoft learned their lesson with that sku.
I think Lockhart will be the new SADE. It's outselling the PS4 right now, and was the best selling console over the week of black Friday. CHEAP is pushing them out the door.

I wouldn't touch one with a 10 foot poll. Not because of no disc. But because it's WEAK. X1X and Series X for me, or GTFO

I had a random thought while playing Streets of Rage 4 again with a buddy. Where the hell is that new Battletoads xbox showed off last year? MS would have done well to push that out before SOR4 cause I don't believe its going to have the care and polish that SOR4 got.

Oh well, looks like it may end up being a Series X launch title anyway.

I'm hoping it got a reboot. I've heard from people that played it that it didn't feel right. Now that Microsoft is in a position where they don't need to force out games that are struggling just to release something, it makes sense to quietly shelve things that are coming along poorly to save the IP. There's a place for a good Battletoads reboot. SoR4 proves that. If it tanks, the IP will be buried with Crackdown.

Ugh don't remind me of Crackdown. It needs its own internal MS studio to correct the mistakes of the last few games. Sad the mishandling of that IP.

Crackdown was fine, it's a better game than 2 and I'll even go as far as saying it's better than the first game.... is it enough for a 2019 game? Prob not, but if you're a fan I'd be surprised if you're disappointed tbh.
I liked it, it played great imo
I agree it’s the best of the 3. But multiplayer is a dumpster fire. You actually can’t even get a match anymore.

I didn't hate Crackdown. It deserved about a 6.5 rating. It was simply a missed opportunity and killed the franchise. Deserved a better dev team. It was still fun because the old formula is a good one for a fun videogame.

That said I'd be surprised if we ever saw that type of quality for an established IP again. Taking a chance on passion project new IP? Sure. Not for something established though. Psychonauts and Wastelands have similar name value with the mainstream and Microsoft put both back in the oven once they got the rights to publish the games.

Even the 1st Paychonauts wasn't graphically amazing, IMO. It made up for it by being creative AF. My bar is pretty low for the final polished look. If this pushes any kind of fidelity beyond something like Sea of Thieves (minus the water) I'd be surprised. I'd be HAPPY, but surprised. The original was an indi game that dreamed big. Then again, Brutal Legend had some great polish, and really good animation. Anyway, the name Paychonauts holds a lot of power, but I have to wonder how many have actually played it...

Thinking about it now, it's kind of ironic that the first was supposed to be published by Microsoft, then they left Double Fine out to dry. It's like Microsoft having a second chance to make things right many years later, just as the sequel was being developed. Pretty interesting turn of events, and buying DF is probably the coolest and most real thing Phil has ever done, in my eyes. The original has a special place in my gaming memories.

Does anyone know when the next Xbox update will be available? I'm asking because of a much needed GameDVR fix for 4K recording. The fix is working in the current insiders preview OS 10.0.19041.2946.

wasn’t there just an update recently, I noticed they changed location and consolidated some icons/options?
