Because of Kinect?

Hell, 6.2 mil is still plenty for launch. That's probably enough consoles to last almost a year.

One of the more harmless sorts, seems a bit callow and green on the vine. No need to be partcularly harsh with him. He's probably a good egg, just misguided. What he doesn't know, is Sony has lowered their yield numbers, twice, from 16 million, to about half that number.
 
LOL no there are not yield issues..this is unofficial..and from China. Changing forecasts is not uncommon for manufacturing, so changing them are not necessarily indicative of supply issues., The article was just put up to get the page clicks from the hate train.

they lowered it by 800k, quite small for apparent yield issues, plus it is unlikely that they will sell 6.2m worldwide by the end of the year anyways..moot number.

Wouldn't about the XB1, but PS4s diminished numbers are quiet real.

Yeah I remember Sony aiming to ship 16 million PS4s. We'll see how many they actually ship out by the end of the year.

I'm not going to look it up and bring any actual hard evidence to the convo, but I'm pretty sure (pretty foggy), I think their forcast went from 16 mil to 12 mil.... to 9 mil.

Listen, the recent news and articles coming out for the Xbox One that everyone is talking about lately is the Edge article where developers are saying the ESRAM is a pain in the ass and the PS4 is 50% more powerful (which has been picked up by every gaming news outlet under the sun), the article about the yield problems because of the Kinect camera, and the downgrades of KI to 720P and Ryse to 900P (leaving only one 1080P launch exclusive, your Forza).

If you have any new provocative and interesting POSITIVE news articles, please feel free to post them. We could use a breather! If all you want is one big circle jerk over the XB1 feel free to go to Puresoul's blog.

Except that EDGE article is a load of crap that anyone can see through, by 'unknown devs' that are most likely long term Sony devs with little experience with Xbox, cough Housemarque cough. and the PS4 isn't 50% powerful, not in hardware specs anymore, maybe 30-36% more powerful. KI was never a 'downgrade' they never said it would be 1080p. Also, X1 upscales everything to 1080p, so Forza may be native 1080p, but every game will play in 1080p.
