I'll be the one to say it.... Scalebound looks like lukewarm garbage.

I might play it when it gets cheap, but as a fan of plenty of Platinum games, games those developers produced under Capcom and such... it just is not what I expected on any level. I hope I just have a bad read on it, but I really don't think that's the case.

True but Rod Fergusson came out and said the same thing recently saying Gears 4 takes advantage of it. Also i bet you when Scalebound releases it will be one of the best games next year. Kamiya has yet to make a bad game and MP looked fun as hell from what they showed.

For all we know though, that could just be a side-affect of freed-up bandwidth from not having Kinect on the physical console.

I'm just a bit reluctant until I hear something a little more concrete.
 
Dang, I was rocking the Gears controller on the 360 until the new systems released, was planning on picking this up. Definitely not worth that much, regardless of how fancy it is.

Fergusson was referring to Playing the game with HDR, which is an output method with the S. Has more to do with color and contrast on compatible sets. It doesn't really improve the graphics any.
 
Anyone going to do a custom controller? I'll probably do one. No laser engraving though. Will also make the back black so it fits right in with my Energizer charging station.

Because the dialogue then turns into the other discussion of, "Hey, what can you do to sell more Xbox Ones than Sony sells PlayStation 4s." And I would say, the answer would be probably not put my games on Windows because then you have to buy an Xbox One in order to play those games. But then that's not what we actually get from our customers in terms of what they want. So then it starts this whole [dialogue] - I start having to answer the other question of, "Well, why don't you do more things that are counter to the actual core strategy that you have?" when the discussion that I want you and I to have is the engagement success of the studios putting the customer at the center. Xbox Play Anywhere is a program you would never do if all you were focused on was selling more Xboxes. So then I end up having this weird conversation with you about the things that I really think we should be doing and you're going to keep asking me about something that's actually not what I'm [trying to achieve]. Honestly, I'm not focused on doing things purely to outsell PS4 with our Xbox One. We're doing things beyond that.

That is just stupid. Just shows how out of touch Microsoft and Phil are. Console gaming is all about the war, without numbers and vs stats there is no ammo to fuel the war.

Phil Spencer is effectively killing console gaming. Boooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
So I do have to admit, as much as I'd love to have options to adjust my own visuals like on PC I'm worried it'll confuse most of the people. And nother thing that's of concern would be lack of great optimisation and console would loose that advantage and need to be upgraded more frequently

Games should easily be able to do that automatically, then leave fine tuning for those who know what they are doing. PC games do this all the time.

I would wager that those games are from the EA Access free trial that if going on now.
