Gears of War 4 will have cross play for the Social play list between Win 10 and Xbox One.

As such, beginning today, Social Quickplay will now be a Cross-play playlist! This step is planned to be a permanent move for the future of Social Quickplay, with the first few months being a ‘trial period’ in order to monitor player feedback alongside data to ensure the Test Weekend was representative.

Core and Competitive will remain platform independent, only matching Xbox players with each other and Windows 10 players with each other. Despite the closely matched performance between users on both platforms seen in our cross-play Test Weekend, we always want to ensure our Ranked experiences are as closely matched and competitive as possible. Due to the major popularity of Social Quickplay on Windows 10, we will be looking at introducing new Core and Competitive solutions for Windows 10 players in the future to provide more focused offerings to experience the more competitive ranked play of Gears of War 4.

I like social crossplay and hope MS implements it with other games. I'm probably weird on this but I'm more concerned with getting even ping than even skill or similar devices if it's a social game. I'll take the challenge if ping is fair and they identify who has m/k vs controller.

Now if Sony would just get their head out of their ass and allow cross platform play, I would get Gears 4 for my PS Pro.

I don't think PS gamers would know what to do with a multiplayer masterpiece like Gears of War 4. They're into that anime stuff or whatever.

Fallout Shelter is coming to Xbox One and Windows 10. It will be a Play Anywhere title which means synced saves between devices.

Bethesda Game Studios, the award-winning creators of Fallout 4 and Skyrim Special Edition, have announced that Fallout Shelter is expanding once more to a new audience, putting Overseers in control of their own Vault and an army of Dwellers on Xbox One and Windows 10. Fallout Shelter will be available on February 7 as an Xbox Play Anywhere title via a free download from the Xbox Store or Windows Store

So it looks like Xbox mobile gaming just officially unofficially started. How much you want to bet Cuphead and Below will be playable on tablets and saves transfer between that and your Xbox?

Your saying it like its a bad thing.

No not at all. I'm pretty excited about the long term possibilities of this. I think this under-the-radar news of RE being Play Anywhere and now this portable Fallout being Play Anywhere has big ramifications long term. I'm looking forward to the day when I can make my dynasty moves in NBA 2K or Madden on a tablet and then play the games later on the Xbox.

Am I the only one wondering why no leaks or info on forza 7, I'm hoping for more fantasy street tracks, like New York, Dubai, Tokyo, Sydney, that street with the scenic views shown on the last episode of the gran tour

Forza has always been good about staying quiet until E3. No doubt this year will be no different. It should be a Scorpio showpiece.

They should do that road from Top Gear that they called the greatest in the world. Would be a beautiful drive, too! Passo dello stelvio, or something like that...

Maybe Porsche will be the cover car for Forza this year?

Love Forza but it needs to take a year off, I've still got FM6 to finish before I start on FH3

I'd love to see FM7 as a launch Scorpio title, but yeah I've got plenty to do yet in 6 and Horizon.

2 years between titles isn't bad. It's the Madden/NHL/MLB/FIFA annual releases that are overkill.

Yeah that would be good too :) I can't wait to see what they do with Scorpio. FH3 is already gorgeous.

I'm just wondering if all that power in Scorpio will even matter. I love the Forza/Gears games but MSFT needs a lot more to sustain their console beyond that. They really can't keep relying on third party software almost entirely. I look at the Playstation 4 and its starting to turn into the PS2...not only in sales but in its variety of games. The Last Guardian, Yakuza 0, Gravity Rush 2, Nioh and Horizon are games which either recently released or will shortly and they really highlight the difference between the two consoles. There's something for almost every type of gamer on that short list. This E3 will be really important for MSFT and I hope they have a great showing and put some of my concerns for their gaming future to rest.

With great power comes great responsibility. Or something like that. I agree, Microsoft needs to go all out with Scorpio. Rumors of it using checkerboard 4K or whatever like the Pro are tempering my expectations though. Still, they should really push the console to the limit. I've said for awhile now, i think by year 2 it will be treated like a new console and have exclusive games. I guess a so called insider at GAF has been saying the same thing.

I see consistency with both companies. We get a ton of games from MS in the 3rd and 4th quarter, and hardly any in the first 2 quarters. And Sony is the exact opposite, giving us games the first and second and nothing in the fall winter.

I was looking at the Microsoft line up for 2017 so far, and it looks really good in variety;

RTS - Halo Wars 2
Racer - Forza 7
Console - Scorpio
MMO - Sea of Thieves
Indie - Cuphead (shooter), Ashen (puzzle), Tacoma (plaformer), Below (top down adventure)
3rd Person Shooter - Crackdown
F2P - Gigantic
Fighter - Raiden V
Hack n Slash - Phantom Dust
Zombie - State of Decay

Phil stated more exclusives in 2017 than 2016 as well.

Xbox Scorpio – Plenty of new exclusives to come in 2017

Sea of Thieves not an MMO
But ESO MorrowWind is

I'm not sure I'd call Below a platformer either. But I do hope it comes in 2017.
