Xbox Fitness: Huge disappointment here. I thought we'd get access to all of P90X and Insanity and the like, but they're only two or so sessions out of the entire programs. Basically, you get demos of the fitness routines, and that's it. You can't even buy the other P90X sessions (there seem to be other fitness programs that you CAN buy for $30).

Unacceptable after how they touted it.

Updating now. Green screen is going on long enough to make me feel nervous!
LOL, I was the same way...so glad I am off work today, getting on soon to download Kinect Rivals, Killer Instinct and Powerstar Golf. The new dash is going to take some getting used to and I need to figure out how to pin things. The game store needs to be cleaned up and organized, things just scattered, I like the 360 set up for that so hopefully once they get more games it will get fixed. Powerstar Golf showed up on the main screen then when I went back it was gone and there was no way to find the game other then specifically typing it in a search. I like to browse games by release date so that better be added

For anyone that plays Madden Ultimate Team, the transfer was quick and easy, just make sure you do exactly what the instructions say...if any of you got Madden and have the pre order code for the free Pro Packs and dont do Ultimate Team feel free to send me the code ;)

Quick question, when I shut down the Xbox last night it looked and sounded like it was totally off but when I went to switch my TV back to HDMI 1 for TV my HDMI 3 was still showing on my menu like it was still on when it would usually gray out once something is turned off?

Also does anyone have any settings suggestions for a Samsung 50inch plasma or a link to a good site. I have game mode on right now, do any of you use that setting? It seems to change my settings and brighten the tv

Maybe Kinect recognized you when you walked into the room and woke up the Xbox One?

I just did the setup so far but I was super impressed with the quality of the video from the kinect. I also really like the controller but the bumpers are in a weird spot

kinect wont turn on the box automatically just when you walk into the room; unless you say "xbox on" its the only thing it listens for when console is off

Got everything setup and calibrated my TV and AV system. The Xbox detected my TV correctly and also was able to find my AV system. Using Kinect it can turn my TV and AV with Xbox On and also control the volume. I setup the Skybox and can confirm you can watch TV and seamlessly move to and from Live TV. What you can't do is change the channels through Kinect and don't have access to the program guide. But you can use your Sky box remote as normal. I'm actually quite happy with this setup until official support arrives next year. In fact I'm going to leave the sky box connected, its already awesome to snap Sky sports while playing a game. ;)

Buy a HDMI splitter box and run one to your TV/AVreceiver and the other to your xbox. Splitter boxes are cheap.
Is this what I need and does it seem like a good one, amazon had a cheaper one but this has the best reviews? Actually just thinking about it I dont think something like this will work, the cable still needs to run to the xbox somehow and it wont be doing it this way. http://www.amazon.com/Portta-PET030...&qid=1385131771&sr=8-1&keywords=hdmi+splitter

I just hooked the Xbox up to Comcast and it works great other then not knowing how to go directly to a channel in the 800s from a channel in the 100s from the guide? I had to scroll all the way through.

This is a great feature but I just dont want my Xbox on all the time for TV, especially when I am not home and my fiancee and kids want to just watch TV, the xbox is only on when daddy is home :)

Overall, I am absolutely impressed with the console.

-Voice commands have been flawless for me, and so much easier to navigate the system this way.
-Setup was pretty straight-forward and easy.
-The new achievements look great.

KI - I played quite a few matches of KI and freaking love the game. Thunder is my go to character (I knew he would be), and there have been some really good tense matches. I'm going to dive into the training more this weekend. On a side note, be prepared that you will have to unlock a lot of the stuff, including stages.

DR3 - Didn't get to play much, but I think the game looks great for what I have seen. I will tackle more this weekend.

Forza 5 - The game is gorgeous for sure. I suck at it though. At least I do right now. I can tell that I'm going to have to put some time into it just to be competent. The rumble triggers feel absolutely fantastic, and I can't wait to see them used in more games.

Overall the only issue that I have seen is that randomly my video signal will cut out for a second or two. It doesn't happen in periodic intervals, but is really random, mostly when I'm in the "dash" though. It did it once when I was racing in Forza 5, but that was the only time when I was gaming. It's just kind of weird.

On a side note, at least here in the US, buying digital is a little cheaper due to one thing: tax free.

Just got back from picking one up when target opened the doors. Eight people in line including one PS4 gamer. They had 9 units and two PS4's so I guess it was worth standing in sub 20 temps for an hour since everywhere else was sold out last night. Everyone walked away happy. Will fire it up tomorrow. I work nights so sleep wins out. Ugh. Just happy to stare at the box until I have time to jump in.

That kind of sucks. You would have thought with Sky being the biggest cable/satellite provider in the UK it would have full support from launch. Still...is nice to some functionality especially the quick swapping.

Curious, can you snap live TV to a game/any game ? Would be nice to be able to play a game while watching some weekend footy.

Hardware: it's just quality, pictures don't do justice. The system looks and feels like a premium AV device and will not look out of place in your setup. The Xbox is very quite. No problems with the hardware.

Controller: much improved controller, just feels nice and fits like a glove, love it! My only minor gripe is that the shoulder buttons seems to be a bot higher than I'm used to. But I guess I will get used to it soon. Only thing missing is my FPS freaks, need to check the site to see if they've got ones available for the One.

Kinect: first thoughts was it looks big and chunky, but feels really solid. I think it can take a knock or two and still work (though I don't want to try it). The voice commands work surprisingly well, but if there was noise in the room I had to repeat the commands or tome down the volume on my TV a notch or two before Kinect would hear me. Hopefully MS will update the software so it works better in noisy environments. Other than that, all the commands works well for me. Its seems it works better with a normal tone of voice than shouting commands.

Update: The day one update is about 500mb. I have 55mbps down and 15mbps up verified from the Xbox one. The update to download and install took me 10 minutes.

Setup: The setup is a breeze and doesn't take too long to get things going. However, the apps needs to be downloaded on first use. The TV calibration is very good and definitely recommend it if you don't have professional calibration kits.

Games: I bought Forza from the store, after 15 minutes of download it was ready to play. I estimate it took 1hr 30minutes to download the entire game.

Thanks for the impressions, very excited to hear it has TV calibration because we are also getting a new tv today and I'll need to do all that too. Now the question for me is if I get the Xbox first do I hook it up to the old tv that we'll be replacing? Thinking I will, that way I can do all the updates and download apps I'm interested in. Will have to wait for my husband to get home tonight to set up the new tv. It all depends on what time I get everything. The tv is scheduled for delivery between 11 am and 2 pm and who knows when UPS will be here with my two Xboxes. Just hoping it's early enough where I can check it out before we jump into trying to set up and figure out the new tv.

Okay I have yet to really go crazy and play with my toy, but one thing I loved may seen minor to most. Whenever I get a new device I know my first task after setting up is with apps (like Netflix, Hulu and Youtube) I will need to log into them and then start viewing. I was so very pleasantly surprised to see those apps ready to go with my lists, my recently viewed, etc. etc.

Sometimes it is those small touches that make things oh so nice.

Has Spock shown up in anyone's house, like in the commercial, yet? If not, Microsoft used teh false advertisingz!!1!

My impressions so far.

*Love the console look...big and bulky reminds me of the Original Xbox. Hope it is just as durable
* Like UI will take sometime to get used to it
* Enjoying the Kinect, Never used the first one.
* TV features are pretty slick and can see me using that more than I imagined
* Controller is awesome....again

My biggest and only complaint so far and its a big one. I bought this thing to play games and it simply takes too long for it to install/update or whatever it is doing. My hope this is something they can correct with software patches because it seriously makes the PS3 look fast.

Well, I got cold feet yesterday and canceled my Amazon pre order. I got a PS4 last Friday and was feeling guilty for getting both systems.

Woke up this morning and couldn't bear it, just had to have it. OK'd it with the wife----->

Showed up at Best Buy 10 mins before opening.....and they had 4 left! Picked up Dead Rising 3 and Ryse.

Hype? Hype!

Just picked up mine. Damn she's heavy. Also picked up the last Forza Limited along with Ryse and 12 Month Card (was $20 bucks off for only 39.99 at gamestop). Just got off a long overnight shift so I might set it up now to catch some zzzzz's and do it later. Only impression so far is that the box is heavy and sexy like me.

So many emotional swings there.

Yes go ahead and set it up on your old TV. For the calibration you will have to go into the Xbox settings, you can do this on the new TV. You will need your TV remote handy and set the lighting to what you would normally have before you begin.

Yup, was surprised too, it also pulled my settings from Xbox 360 so didn't have to authenticate with Netflix, Youtube etc

Not happy about that. I wish there was a way to show XBox Fitness that I have the original DVDs and somehow sync it with the library and take advantage of the Kinect Fitness functionality.
