This is great news. The Witcher 3 during Microsoft's E3 press conference was indeed on Xbox One, 900p/30fps. And we all know that the developer is trying to get it to 1080p, but in my opinion it is a DAMN good thing that they have it at 900p now. I mean...less than a year ago we had 720p games, and now this graphics-heavy game is already at 900p.

Witcher 3 E3 gameplay demo combat was deliberately easy, CD Projekt says

And yes, it was running on an Xbox One.

It looked pretty good to our eyes, but Mamais insisted it will end up looking even better by the time development is finished for Witcher 3's February 2015 release date.

"We're still optimising for Xbox One and PS4 so it should look better than that in theory," he said. "But everything we're doing optimisation wise for PS4 and Xbox One, we're also optimising for PC. It's a cross-platform engine, so any optimisation we do for one platform goes into the other platform and just speeds it up, basically."

A 900p resolution is CD Projekt's "minimum", Mamais said. "We will hit 900p no problem. We'd like to get it up to 1080p on Xbox One. That's our goal. Whether we can do it or not I don't know. We've got to squeeze everything we can out of the hardware.

"Microsoft and Sony say 900p is the sweet spot, and there's not a lot of difference visually between 900p and 1080p, but it's a hot topic now. So that's what my goal is."

Maybe when all the gamez are ten eighty pee, we can all get back to focusing on gameplay and s***.

This is where I can tell a few certain posters, "I told you so", when they thought I was unreasonable for making such a deduction after seeing the E3 demos.

I imported my live account at a friends house for playing various of my downloadable games at his place. I bought DLC tracks for Rocksmith and somehow he's able to play it on his own Live account when I'm gaming at home. Why does that work? I'm not complaining, but I thought that purchased DLC was linked to your own gamertag.

He's a lucky b*tch though and being real smug about it. The same thing happened with Castle Crashers. He gets to play my DLC for free. He was disappointed when it didn't work for Ultra SF4.
On 360 you get 2 licences. One on the profile and one on the Xbox you bought it on. If you buy DLC on his Xbox he gets to play even when you aren't there.

I am still on my 360 and when i am in party chat i always use the bluetooth earpiece, it' s the perfect chat headset in my opinion. Small, wireless and long battery life. I honestly have to wonder why MS hasn't made one for X1 yet. I am going to miss it when i buy X1.

You mean the game being 900p? :)

Who knows...maybe the wizards at CDPR get it to 1080p, but again...if that means sacrificing stuff like foliage or extra effects and things that make it more pretty, no...keep it 900p.

And i saw this comment on another site and i believe it's true?

Also remember that CDPR also said they haven't yet used the additional 10% gpu bandwidth that has been unlocked.

It's clear CDPR has got the latest SKU though, so this is going to be it for ...extra power.

No, I could care less about whether it's 900p or not. I'm talking about it being shown on the Xbox One.

Ah i see, alright.

Anyway, if someone is looking to pick up an Xbox One with Kinect AND Titanfall, the bundle basically....it's only 434 euros here, which is a crazy deal really, seeing that the Kinectless X1 is 399.

Amazon product

So I'm playing through BF4s completely throw - away SP and I realize that Wrecker is the worst Squad leader on the planet. If you are going to make the silent hero type player character, don't put him in a position where talking is mandatory. He just kinda gets lead around. What a crappy SP.

This game also reminds me of the importance of Image quality. There is so much goodness going on graphically that is really marred by the aliasing.

Makes me excited to see The halo games sans jaggies! Five more months to go :(

I'm 15 years late, but I started playing Castlevania Symphony of the Night. I had no idea how great this game was. Its listings in all those greatest games of all time lists weren't bulls***ting.

You aren't lying, Alucard is a beast too. Keep that in mind, you are the baddest MF'er in that castle.

Man the game tripped me out. I beat Richter and the credits rolled. After 5 hours of playing! Like WTF. I knew there was way more to the game. I had to look up what I missed and it was the Holy goggles. Put those on and it completely changed the fight with Richter and opened up a whole other castle! I was like truck yeah!

Let me tell you, I'm getting my ass handed to me in the inverted castle!!!

As the saying goes "better late than never".

Can we not send voice messages via xbl friends? I got the Xbox One Stereo Headset and was going to test it and didn't see an option to send a voice message from my friend's list

I don't know how MS keeps from getting annoyed by these people in interviews and such. Gamers and media alike just spent the last year or more telling MS that they don't want the Kinect or that they're not interested in it. Now that MS has removed it from the box to give people the option, people are suddenly interested in what MS is planning for Kinect? Literally every interview I've watched or read since E3 began has asked about the Kinect and what the plan is for it moving forward. I've never seen so many people not interested in having Kinect interested in what is going to happen with it.

You seem to be making this grand assumption that #1: These people asking about it now expressed personal opinions of it to be removed in the first place. We can lump all IGN folk in as one shared opinion, and #2: You assume that all those who wanted the option of kinect or not have no interest all in it. A lot of the kinect stuff was based around it having little worth at that given time. That does not mean these people can not have an interest in is future. It also seems like a valid question for all those millions who bought a kinect. Surely thse people want to hear about its future.

Come off it. You're the last the person that should be telling me about making assumptions. You, I, and many here have been here for a long time now, and we have both seen and read the coverage as it pertains to the Xbox One and Kinect. The discussion pertains to the "general" assessment of public opinion towards the device and it's association with the console. Of course individuals have differing opinions and levels of interest, but that is not what I was commenting on. You know that, but choose to ignore it in favor of your point.

The personal opinions of the people of the people asking about it is a moot point. The general public made it clear to MS that they wanted the option of not having it, and that they are not interested in it. The media coverage and public opinion reflected this prior to MS's removal of the device. There was next to no coverage, let alone interest, from these people about the future of Kinect or MS's plans for it prior to them removing it from the package. In fact, most dialogue was that of disinterest and disappointment for the device being mandatory. Yet after its removal, suddenly everybody wants to talk about it and what MS plans to do with it. You can call it whatever you want dude, but it's stupid.

In reality though it's more likely that they want hits on their sites.

So you think it is stupid to ask about the future of a device that millions bought, and more millions will buy, and a device that MS said it will still support. Think of it this way, if these journalists were motivated by public opinion with the negativity, then why is it so outrageous to assume it is the same with this positivity ? You generalized an opinion to support your complaint when in reality the public opinion of Kinect is split and there is no way to tell which way holds the majority. Even the opinion of it needing to be option is not as clear cut as you would make folk believe.

I was a big complainer about Kinect needing to be an option and yet even I still show signs of interest now again, for example: not long a go I stated how I would love to see the Civilization franchise hit Xbox one and be fully Kinect controlled. There is a difference between interest and worth. The latter is where all the negativity stems, and that is where MS must focus if they want Kinect to be a success.

No, I think it's stupid to continuously ask about the future of device that 1: MS has already given an answer about in the numerous other interviews following its removal, and 2: the community has spent a better part of the last year expressing either disinterest or in rare occasions outright outrage about being mandatory.

You seem to think or at least you're implying that I'm making assumptions or some blanket statement from one or two interviews, but this is not the case. There is a full catalog of content about the necessity for Kinect's removal over the last year, and now dozens of interviews post removal that both question its removal and ask for MS's explanation for how the Kinect will be supported moving forward.

The split of public opinion is not important and another issue altogether. Majority is a non-issue here. The point is that it was made known and quite clear to MS that people wanted the option of its removal, so they provided that option. That's your answer, and it's the answer that MS has given over and over again. It's stupid to keep questioning them about its removal when you know why it was removed and you know how MS is going to respond. In addition, MS has responded numerous times about their continued focus and support for Kinect moving forward, so why keep asking about this as well? Come up with some new material that hasn't already been asked a dozen times prior.

Actually my comments have nothing to do with the interviews and is about your generalizations about consumer interest in Kinect. Like you said the mass outrage was over it being mandatory, yet you flat out stated that general public have shown they have no interest in kinect. That is not true and that is where the disagreement between us originates.

Like you said the mass outrage was over it being mandatory, yet you flat out stated that general public have shown they have no interest in kinect. In other words, you wish to respond to my posts without any context for what I actually post. Yeah...okay. :-->:

I have no idea why you insist on continuing to be so obtuse about it. You want to discredit my opinion by accusing me of generalizations but wish to do so without consideration of what I'm actually commenting on, you know what actually started my comments in the first place? And you're talking about my generalizations when you're doing the same to me and can't even be bothered to consider WHAT I'm commenting on in the first place? Hypocrite much?

Also, yes it was generalizations about consumer interest in Kinect that caused MS to remove it. All the documented media coverage and consumer feedback that was readily available to anyone on the internet over the past year were also generalizations, right? :meh:

You can't even be bothered to read and comprehend people's posts at this point when you say something like, "Like you said the mass outrage", and I posted, "or in rare occasions outright outrage". Last I checked rare occasions does not equate to mass outrage. Again, trying to discredit my opinion by something like saying that I said one thing (which I actually didn't say), and yet already stated something else. Weren't you the one just a minute ago stating that the community is split on the issue, yet now it has to be one or the other? Suddenly it's not possible for the general public to convey disinterest, and at the same time have a group that also shows outrage? Is that because it wasn't you saying it? Make up your mind.

Admit it. This has very little to do with you "championing truth" and more to do with you liking the sound of your own "voice".

I don't think you can yet. I haven't had much of a reason to use it but i remember not being able to send a friend a voice message. It seems like Microsoft started over with Live for the One. They're adding stuff each month.
