It's not impossible. In fact, I'm sure that Halo 5 will look amazing and be an overall better game, but saying that is just stupid. Better to be humble and focus on the game they are making, instead of making grand claims without anything to back it up.

If they even said it. This is coming second hand from Hip Hop Gamer.

The Order 1886 looks like a polished last gen game (as does every game this gen). Halo 5, with all this development time, should be twice what The Order (or any other game out today). They have the Xbox One power, the cloud tech, new SDK, DX12. They have ZERO excuse to not come out with a Halo game that is 1080p, 60fps locked, that takes the visual crown with such a large universe.

If the game comes out looking any less than that, then there isn't much else that can be done this gen (visually) I am afraid.

Not really. Look at what games looked like at the end of last gen compared to beginning. Huge difference.

You'd do well in the TLoU Remastered thread.
I wouldnt actually DM. Although I think TLoU is probably a great game, the remastered version doesnt look next gen to me, visually. I watched some of the streams of guys playing it, and it just didnt look that great. The emotional connection from the story and characters is one of the wonders of the world though. Good on Naughty for creating a great game with interesting characters and story. Not a looker though...

No, I linked you to the thread because a select few were saying ND shouldn't have went to Twitter to promote their 1080/60 accomplishment, yet here you are with the "if you got it, flaunt it" attitude. Just a TLoU thread inside joke. :D

FUN! Who told you we are here to have fun. This is gaming son, and gaming is serious business.

My brother is trying to find the option for dynamic range, or like how it's called on 360, reference level. Where you can select standard, intermediate and expanded. I think it used to be on X1 too, right? But he cannot find it.....

On the beta OS:
Settings > Display & Sound > VIDEO FIDELITY : Color Space

There are two options: TV, PC.

TV is the limited option. PC is the expanded.

This is how you change it on the new beta OS. On the non-beta, it's pretty similar, though it is still in the Display & Sound section, in whatever the second set of options is and it isn't labeled TV/PC.

For now I think it is best to stick with the TV setting. The PC/Expanded/Full-Range setting currently yields crushed blacks. It is something they are currently looking into fixing.

So if my gold runs out, my console is set as my friend's console and he has gold. Does that mean I can download "games with gold" video games each month?

Yes if one Gamertag has gold and set your console as Home Console than everyone on that console enjoys gold. So it means that yes you would be able to download gold games
He can't actually. Home Gold lets you play multiplayer, but you don't get Games With Gold or Gold exclusive discounts.

If the profile that has Gold buys the GwG game you can download it as well, but you can't buy it yourself.

Ah yes. So it's best to to disable it on tv and put it at 'tv' in the X1 settings? Alright.

Yes. Until it is fixed and displaying correctly. Albert Penello posted on gaf that he is looking into the issue.

It's such a weird thing to have bugged, since it works fine on 360/PS3/PS4.

But it really is pointless too, is is specific for PC Monitors.

Why don't you do the calibrate HDTV thing on xbox it tells you what to do with these things and how to improve picture

That

That screwed my picture up so bad it was unreal.

How? Did you go back and keep re adjusting contrast vs brightness and black level? I can see it messing it up only if you don't understand instructions. For when it says that you should see a difference/steps in white and black to those little extruding lineas and should look the same past them, also the closed eye and the sun are references as the steps are more important. I did my friends tv the other day and with his black level at darkest it didn't work. His tv was not capable of displaying high enough contrast to make it work, so it was a problem that tv had a setting it couldn't work with. In his case I just left his dark levels at one level less dark and worked from there.

Fallowed instructions to the letter. Game looked good but picture on stations looked horrible. This was also when it first came out.

Usually TVs have separate settings for each input on MY tv has 2 user setups and 5 Standard that can also be tweaked and then display (user) next to them. Now you know that usually the cable box also has its own picture setting or when switching to watch tv change to one of different setups. Or just try to find the middle ground, I could see the sharpness be a bigger prob for TV

What about using party chat?

AC Unity info summary

  • Been in development since 2010. After Brotherhood a team broke off and started on Unity.
  • Skill leveling is in, and you can choose to drop points in stealth, combat, or navigation. You could potentially make a tank who is awesome at fighting, or a better stealth player.
  • You can now customize your legs, boots, forearms, chest, hood, and mask. And the armor/clothing has attributes like a hood that makes you blend faster in crowds and a belt that allows you to hold more items.
  • Co-op missions can be done solo as well and have multiple difficulties. You can also explore the whole world in co-op
  • They realized that with the multiplayer in the last games they were essentially making two separate games, and they didn't want to do that. They noted that people buy the game for the campaign and the added-on multiplayer wasn't the same experience, so they went back to the drawing board to get co-op in.
  • They are using a similar technique as Watch Dogs for co-op, in your game you are always Arno, and everyone else looks like other brotherhood members, but in their game they are Arno and you look like a brotherhood member (like how you are always Aiden in Watch Dogs).
  • NO MORE AUTO-FAIL MISSIONS! The missions now adapt to what happens when you play and don't follow any script. There will be changes and consequences for how you handle missions, but no longer will you get desynchronized for being spotted.
  • You use the new rapid descend ability from buildings by hitting RT + B. Haystacks still exist, but they found you don't use them near as often now.
  • The interiors really open up the game. You can run into a building to hide from guards, but there may be guards inside too. You can also use interiors for assassinations, hiding in windows, etc.
  • You really notice the new 1:1 scale for buildings, and the amount of buildings on the streets seems higher than any of the other games.
  • Stealth mode softens your footsteps, but you still move rapidly. Great for sneaking up on guards.
  • New cover system makes hiding easier and you can now peek.
  • Guards no longer automatically know where you are at all times once alerted, they will now search your last known location which makes it easier to get away and even flank them.
  • Combat is now harder. You may be able to beat 2-3 guys but 5 is too many. You have to pay attention to what weapons enemies have now. "For the first time, we have boss fights that are about parrying at the right time, making sure you dodge, and not spamming the attack button."
  • The NPC groups now react to each other. Thugs may attack you on sight, but guards/police won't unless provoked. Police may go after thugs, which means you can lure thugs to police and watch the police go after them.
  • They are starting a "new cycle" with the present day stuff. "You are the protagonist ultimately." You will understand in the first 20 minutes of the game where they are going with it. It's "cool" and "very, very surprising."
  • There can be up to 30,000 people in a crowd.

Skill leveling sounds like an awesome addition. Actually.. just about everything in that list sounds awesome. Can't wait. Wow, I just remembered I still need to play Black Flag.

Actually sounds pretty good. Love the addition of boss fights, but not so much the skill leveling. You are supposed to be a bad ass expert assassin. Having said that though, I do like the idea of different characteristics to suit play styles
