This might be the craziest rumor yet. There seems to be a lot of rumors around Sega, so maybe there is a some type of deal going on, but not this...

Xbox Series S is actually Xbox Series Sega.

MS gets Sega games, Sega gets to release a Dreamcast 2 (which is the Lockhart with a Sega badge) in places where MS badge might be disadvantage, like Japan.

Reveal in June 14.

That is so beyond unbelievable. I know everyone is starving for next gen info but come on.

Phil is dropping hammers, this is going to be the talking point to say fu*k that SSD from PS5, look what this monster can really do biatch!
He is focused on immersion:

"One of the things I've talked about publicly ... but it's hard to come across, is the way it feels to play games on a box where frame rates are higher, frame rates are more stable," Spencer said. "The fluidity of it, showing that in video form, is just impossible. How do you show how something feels?"

He added: "We're getting to the point where the immersion feel that you get through fluidity and other things is now up to par with the visual capabilities that we have. How do you share that with people in this kind of world?"

Phil and his PR team better find a way to show off the Series X strengths and quickly. Because I guarantee, their competition will find a way to show off theirs.

If you are going to advertise the Series X as having " the holy grail of graphics" Ray tracing, then show something impressive using ray tracing on the system.
If you are going to advertise the Series X as being a high frame per second console, show something impressive running at 60+ fps on the console.

Unfortunately, xbox has to be perfect in their messaging to resonate with consumers. They don't have the storied history in gaming or IPs that Sony and Nintendo have to afford any missteps.

Don't worry Phil. We have all experienced it before. We know how it feels to have faster frame rate.

MS has only just pushed the console industry forward through forward thinking, innovation, and services...

Agreed. But means nothing if they're always playing second fiddle to the more established companies in terms of perception and market share.

They are showing that very well with all the changes and improvements they have been making over time. Not just building up 16 studios but how they can make the gamer feel apart of the gaming. With their haptic feedback added to triggers this gen, their 3D Audio solution this upcoming gen for the sound immersion, and of course with the brute strength of the Series X, RDNA 2, Velocity, SSD, CPU, GPU and Raytracing added to all the games in production, a gamer will never feel so close to gaming on console.

Developers have the best possible console ever made at their disposal for this upcoming gen. But it’s not worth a hill of beans if they don’t capitalize on it and give us more of the same.

Means nothing? We need them to keep pushing the industry forward.

Also, have they ever really led the established companies in terms of perception and market share...?

I think all those are things pushed by Microsoft and its positive (except Kinect) but it should be noted they weren't the first do some of those things.

Could we see 360 or OG Xbox titles running at 8k in the future, maybe with HDR?
HDR confirmed.
