It won't be those visuals either, it'll look great I'm sure but in engine never looks as good as in game, in engine is always a warning that this isn't actual gameplay.

We don’t know what it will look like. But the things I have my doubts about is the smoke from the mountain top/volcano and the animation looking too good.

They might be able to change small things, but it'd be impossible to change anything major at this point. And it's looking like they are going with the older RDNA (based off their official site):

Since they are both using hardware accelerated ray tracing it looks like both plan on using the newer version.

With RDNA 2 AMD will deliver its first hardware acceleration for real-time ray tracing. Right now all its GCN and RDNA-based GPUS can support ray tracing via the Radeon Rays and ProRender systems, but they’re both tied to using the graphics silicon’s shaders to do it.

With the introduction of the next generation of the RDNA architecture next year that will shift to dedicated hardware acceleration to support “select lighting effects for real time gaming.”

The facial animation was really cool, hopefully that kind of thing can be done in a cut scene as it was here but actual gameplay won't match that, in engine never does but it's still going to look very good. The original game was a looker too, a boring looker but a looker lol.

This is pretty indicative of which console will hold the power crown. Either way both will produce amazing visuals no doubt.

Better question. Now that we've seen the XBSX, just based on what we've seen from the reveal, how much is this thing going to cost?

I'm hedging my bets and going to say at least $499.99 but no more than $599.99

It looks like both are using RDNA 2 or whatever it's called since they both say they have hardware accelerated ray tracing and that's not available in the previous version hardware.

Yeah I'm thinking $499 for both but $599 isn't out of the realm of possibility although it should be avoided at all costs. With SSD's, twice the memory of previous gen and all of the other upgrades these things have to cost quite a bit to make.

Agreed. And with the PS5 potentially launching within the same window at the same price, gamers could potential pay ~$1200 on next gen hardware in a stretch of 2-4 weeks. That's crazy.

Anything over $499 would be suicide. If they still go with Lockhart, that would be $299. Then they could drop the current 1X to $249 or maybe a Black Friday deal for next year for $199? Then I'll bet you'll see the S or the digital S coming in for $150 by then also. Lots of choices for the consumer next year, but there's a price point for everyone.

Besides what I already posted, I personally think MS is willing to take a loss on the SX in order to win the power crown. Sony will be in an interesting position, but I think their best bet is to take the potential power loss and come in at $399. They can't waste as much money on hardware as MS can. They *might* come in at $499 as well with something stronger than I expect at this point....but ON PAPER MS will still have the power win.

I've said it before: After how the beginning of last gen started, they would never lose the power war again. It was either go big or go home. And they seem awfully confident and aggressive this time around.

Masterful unveil on team Xbox part. Outside of E3, The Game Awards is probably the next biggest stage in gaming and Xbox was able to lead the show. Then add in a kick ass Hellblade trailer and in 5 minutes they won the show with a ton of momentum coming out.

Yeah. That series X looks positively beastly and powerful. Its kinda intimidating. I love the look of that it.

You think they’d stick to Series X and the what ever variant add too it like Series XR or XS

My guess on price is what ever it is next holiday it’ll be dropped 50 bucks (or world equivalent) come Black Friday and December
