He said, "Double the power of the X" That's 12 my guy! Even the DF video states the same thing,

There's many a tweet and interviews out there right now bruv. Google some s***. ..

It's not like for like, they are using different GPU's and the new one is going to be far more efficient so you get more with less. At Resetera someone pointed out that going by Phil's statement that it was 8X the X1 GPU and 2X the One X it would be 10.4. Is that true? we'll find out soon enough I guess, either way it's a lot more powerful than what we have now.

Bruh, I dont need to misrepresent what you say. You do a swell enough job already. Whatchu talkin' bout, Willis?

You do it all the time seriously, the only reason I haven't put you on ignore is you seem like you probably are an okay guy when it's not going overboard to defend or praise MS.

Plus it looks like it’s going to be RDNA 2.0, which means they’ll get more out of each TF than the current architecture. Even if it’s less than 12 (which I doubt), it will outperform what’s out there now.

Same for PS5, possibly except for the 2.0 part.

6.4 million views on the official release trailer already! Damn.

They'll both likely be 2.0 since they are both using hardware accelerated ray tracing and that's not available before 2.0

Its not praising Microsoft. I do my research. I remember things youve said and have continuously doubted would work - especially if its Xbox related - and the end results. Your track record isnt on point. Plus, we know you fancy Sony, thats cool too, bro. But Im not gonna act like I dont see you when youre throwing shade or downplaying Xbox...anything, really.

Its as common place for you to downplay, fearmonger or throw shade on Xbox topics as the internet itself. I'm just calling a spade a spade. If we need to go done memory lane for a little bit, we can do that. But I dont think we really need to. Thats just your M.O. And frankly, its cool. But you cant get all perplexed when someone calls you out on it. Thats all I'm saying cuzzo.. No disrespect.

It's a Minecraft Enderman penis replica dildo.

yes he has a glowing Xbox logo tattood on his piece if you look close enough

I don't watch videos from that XB spokesperson.
Figures... Lol

But he does display the actual quote from Phil Spencer himself in the video, so, there's that....

You can also find written interviews of him saying the same thing. I think the quote goes something like, "8 x's more powerful than the Xbox One. 2x's more powerful than that X."

Phil doesn't say 12TF's that fool assumed that's what he meant.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if Sony walked away with the power crown again tbh.

And yeah, what Phil said is vague. You don't know whether he's referring to Tflops or actual relative performance, he doesn't make it clear at all which way is meant to be interpreted.

Insiders and leaks place it at 12tflops, but again who knows if maybe it is a game of telephone with people reinterpreting the same vague quote.

I wouldn't put a money bet either way.

Insiders, sources, heard this, heard that, blah blah blah. We'll know the truth when this thing is released to reviewers or what not and then we'll know.

This is just like several years ago when people speculated what he or she said or didn't say or how he\she said it.

Sony very well could come away with the power crown, to be sure! But Sony has never been the ones to innovate. Great games, yes, but when it comes to pushing the industry forward technologically and charting new pathways into advanced services and technology, that simply isnt Sony's bag. Never has been if Im being honest. Its all pretty uncertain at this point but I still say that Phil coming out on stage to reveal the Series X and coming forward with the information we have now, is a bold move. Not one you make if you're not confident in what you have.

He also stated that Xbox has always been about power, since the OG. And he feels they will once again set the benchmark on power once again. "I feel like we've done it again" was his quote.

We'll see.. My money is on Microsoft taking the power crown next gen.

Bruh, wha?? Phil says "double the power of the X". Its in the quote itself. Double 6Tflops is 12. Im not understanding you...

What he means is that 2x the tflops doesn't necessarily correlate 1:1. Xbox One X tflops are not equal to Xbox Series X Tflops.

A 6Tflops Series X GPU would absolutely murder a 6Tflops Xbox One X GPU. A Series X GPU would probably be equivilant to a One X GPU at closer to a little over 4Tflops and even then that wouldn't account for new features and Ray tracing.

So basically, it could be argued that 2x the power of an Xbox One X graphical power wouldn't actually be 2 x 6 = 12, but rather 2 x 4.6 = Series X or something like that (4.6 isn't the real number, just a roundabout guess because I don't feel like doing math).

Or... Phil could've just been talking about the actual number of tflops and not relative power.

I'm not sure how anyone would make the distinction to be honest unless he flat out says it.

I did mention that the 12 Tflops was just the beginning. I agree with this post though. But then again, people could be over thinking what was said. But if its 12, thats beyond insane. Thats a hard number to get my head around, tbh.

Tell us how you really feel!

You have a link that has Phil saying 12TF's?
Every MS insider has stated that it is 12 TF's and they stated that before the Video Game Award announcements.
Only people that don't want the next Xbox to be more powerful than PS5 seem to have a problem believing this...

So no link?

The links:
Tom Warren
Windows Central
Phil also states that using math the GPU is 2 times the XB1X GPU. XB1X GPU = 6TF's 6x2 = 12 TF's
Before you argue that math remember that TF's is the simplest way to quantify GPU performance and is the way that MS quantified the performance of the XB1X. If Phil meant overall performance he wouldn't have said using math. Phil would simply have stated that the over all GPU performance is 2 times the XB1X. Basically the simplest answer is the right answer and if the XSX is less than 12 TF's then Phil was indeed being disingenous.

What sort of link would satisfy you Valliance? Until there is an actual tear down we will not actually know. But you do rely upon message board rumors, internet chatter and number of articles as a basis for your own facts. Windows Central is a higher standard than that.
