If series X came out at 399 that's the literal definition of "aggressive pricing" that Phil Spencer was talking about. Sony would be in real trouble.
I just can't see how everything they are packing especially the high speed SSD could be priced at $400 without taking a blood bath on it.
At $400 MS could be losing as much as $150 - $200 per unit.
1 Million consoles sold and you're already talking about losing roughly $150 - $200 million.
10 million and that's 1.5 Billion.
No way they do that without hurting the companies stock.
Share holders would be livid if they knowingly did that.

When asked about joining XGS Mahler in febuary said on Era, he doesn't want to be aqcuired by MS and wants to stay independent.
So this is still confusing to me.
Yep. Although I think MS should make them an offer. Stadia and Google aint even playin about snatching folks up.
I think it's crazy they haven't convinced him that he can have his creative freedom and eat his cake too. Because that was the reason he gave, which is kind of weird, considering it was pretty well known that he wouldn't lose creative freedom with the new XGS.
If he was told that, he's holding out for something. You simply cant get a better deal.
