Also:
Netflix subscribers 1997 - 2005: 4.2 Million

Game Pass 2017 - 2020: 10 Million

Game Pass has doubled the number of subscribers in less than half the time on a fraction of the available user base in its infancy.

Rent to watch = Rent to play

Hence the play button instead of a watch button.

I’m sure every subscription service/streaming service you use is a “household” name as well.
No just no.

Yes actually every single one of them has a household name.
You have any underground ones I can use?

Game Pass isn't GAAS. Game Pass is a service that has games. GAAS is a game that has services such as seasons, extra content, pushed out maps, microtransactions....services to keep the game active.

There are GAAS games on Game Pass though.

Semantically it's different however it works in a similar way. Essentially Game Pass has replaced the Microsoft directive that expensive Xbox games have to be GAAS. Game Pass = mindshare, engagement and a constant revenue stream beyond the initial purchase. Essentially single player games can lead to the same benefits because they pull people towards the service.

Lol, underground. Don’t know about that, but I use VRV and Anime Tube for free Anime. Oh, and I use this underground subscription service called Game Pass to download and play games.

Dude, Gamepass is the Shizzy. I've played so many games I never would have. You do know that you can buy the games too, right? It's not like you can't decide to buy it once you know you WANT to keep it. Isn't there a discount as well if you buy a gamepass game?

I don't subscribe to the notion of rent to play.
I do like the idea of paying to get extended content of games I already play.
GAAS content is usually free except for MTs that add pretty much nothing to a game. So, you don't subscribe to GAAS.

What you do subscribe to is the old paid DLC method.

The big problem with gamepass is it is too limited.

It's easily the best feature of Game Pass. Not even close for me personally. Sure it's nice to save on games I would've purchased otherwise. Games like Gears, Forza, Ori 2 I would have bought. But it's not the savings that's the main value to me. Its being able to try so much stuff out risk free. I find at least a game every month that I like that I would've never considered purchasing (or in many cases, knew existed). Then there's all the games for the kids. It's changed the way I game for the better...and it's hard to quantify that value.

I refused to buy gamepass up until a month ago because I didn't see the point. Now that I have it I feel stupid for not getting it sooner.

Game Pass has been nothing but amazing. The best feeling is when you're interested in a game, but know that you probably wouldn't have bought it. You play it on Game Pass and discover you love it.

Game pass and EA access is great value, anyone denying this clearly are biased.
Subjective. Only good value if iit has stuff that interests you.

EA Access is terrible value for me right now, but when Fallen Jedi gets added it will be good value.

I’m talking about the game design. You literally have to go back to the same levels multiple times to fully explore the game. It has lots of places that are unreachable until you gain an ability on the next planet, then return with your new ability.

It's quite stupid, one of the major gripes I had with the game, unless it's really different from when I visited before, I don't really want to go back to older areas.
