Sony only own film rights...Disney owns tv, TV movie, comic, and all merchandise related to Spider-Man including the live action movies.

That’s like saying Xbox owns most of the Star Wars property because they have the marketing rights atm, would be cool if they use that power to fund a new KOTOR game, again.

Disney came to Sony and insomniac and asked them what character they’d liked to use, Spider-Man, besides being a fan fav made the most sense with their previous game’s and skills with traversal in an open world environment.

But just like life Disney will find a way, even if it means Apple buying Sony Film Studios. Honestly, who can name a major hit in theaters other than Spider-Man, or even care.

look at the uncharted movie, no, don’t, that breaks my heart lol and this has been to much of a tangent 😂

Kotaku dude has been caught numerous times with his pants down. Can’t trust him.
Kotaku has been wrong many times but Jason Schreier is a pretty good games journalist who is usually right on the money. If he says something is true or not true, I tend to believe him.

Possibly!

But from what I understand English isn’t their first language. It’s supposedly a contact inside MS or some dev but I can’t verify.
If I were an insider at MS and wanted to leak stuff, I'd Google translate it from English to Chinese to German and back to English, or something like that.

Any Spanish speakers want to check this out? They are claiming to know the final price of the XSX:

edit: Looks like they are saying 499 euros.

$550 would almost confirm XSX being more powerful than PS5 and MS not wanting to take a loss to match Sony.
It would. Agreed. But I dont think Microsoft is willing to charge that much - even with the Series X being more powerful. Thats' REALLY pushing it. Most gamers wont be up for shelling out $550 for new hardware. $500, for sure.

They may if it's the elite tier. If it was the only SKU then I'd agree. Dont forget they charge 180 bucks for an elite controller

I'm not spending more than 500 dollars for a console. If it's 550 then I'm out on purchasing one at launch. I'd rather upgrade my PC at that point.

Looking at over $600 at launch with a game. Closer to $700 IF you get an extra controller as well. Nope. I can see Microsoft being this stupid and charging that much out of the gate.
They really need to consider how much gamers are willing to shell out even for a premium console. There was such a thing as a $600 PS3 and that almost lost Sony the generation and they were riding on the heels of a much more successful PS2. Microsoft doesn't have the luxury of that mindshare so they need to price the XSeX just right or crash right out of the gates.

Well, it would only make sense if ray tracing on those RTX cards was completely abandoned by developers because AMD and Sony's ray tracing solution uses dedicated hardware that doesn't port well to Nvidia's RTX cards. Then you would have an expensive GPU that doesn't do ray tracing while it looks great on consoles.

“I won’t remove options from the future,” he conceeded. “I will say, from the launch of Xbox One, I’ve definitely learned that being too expensive and not powerful enough is not a great place to be. And price and performance are gonna be important, and we’re very focused on both of those things.” - Phil Spencer

It’s worth remembering that European prices include VAT (Value Added Tax) where as the US price won’t include the tax so if the Euro price is correct, it’s likely that the dollar price will be $499 plus state tax.
For instance the Xbox One X launched for $499 and 499 Euros.
Also the Oculus Rift CV1 launched for $599 and €699 so if history is anything to go by, the Euro price is either the same dollar price or more than the dollar price.

I didn't buy a launch PS3 either, 600 dollars for a console is blasphemy. I waited for the software BC 80GB PS3 that launched at 499. So I have a moral limit that I will spend on a console going back over a decade, not a financial one. Even though The XsX is for hardcore gamers even I will not spend more than 500 for a console....its a console. I have a PC that desperately needs a new CPU, mainboard, RAM and 550 dollars will pay for a good portion of that, that will serve me for many years (my 4770K has served me well for over 8 years I believe) and do so much more than a console can.

I personally don't care about ray tracing cards. Which is why I didn't spring to upgrade to an RTX card right away. I will be waiting until next gen.

I care more about 144+ Fps.

Same, Ray Tracing is something I could care less about.

FPS is far more important.
