Personally I'm in for an XSX around launch and a PS5 UHD version at full price down the line.

I don't think a $400 PS5 DE makes an XSX look bad, I think it makes the XSS look bad.

I meant the "S". My bad. The Series X makes the PS5 looks bad in my opinion. Charging the same price for a weaker console? Say wha?

Plus Sony are charging $70 for their games next gen. Series S and GPU all day for a lotta folks. Thank goodness for GP.

Definitely takes some sheen off the €299 SS. Saying that, the all access program offers let’s say a PS4 gamer this gen with a 1080 tv the chance to walk out the shop with a next gen console that will take complete advantage of his tv, access to 160 games including all the Halo, Gears, Forza Horizon 4 not to mention any Xbox exclusive over next 2 years day one for $25 a month.
Or you can buy two PS5 games and the Digital PS5 for $540

I think All Access will help. Honestly, I might just do it and save the money on GP Ultimate

With the amount of MS studios now they’ll be delivering an exclusive every 2-3 over the next 2-3 years. Only a fraction of gamers switch in the first 12 months anyway.

Sony will still sell millions of 1st party titles at full price allowing them to subsidize the price of the DE at $400.
MS on the other hand will try to make GP profitable. Giving away a DE console at $200 less than cost would basically rob any GP profits and make the investment unsustainable.

Series S is looking more and more like a terrible idea after Sony announced their DE at $400.
XSX DE at $400 would be great but the fact MS opted to cheap out on the GPU, Ram and SSD in order to sell the Series S at $300 likely means they won't drop the price too much on a XSX DE.

I’m doing the same. I pay for GP Ultimate monthly anyway so I can get the Series X for only an extra £20 a month. A good job too as my son also wants one so I’ll have to pony up for his in cash.

Sorry, but no. Cyberpuunk looks good on youtube. So did countless others. The game looks like s***. If your talking 120FPS then the game still looks s***.

✅ you get Xbox Series S/X
✅ you get Gamepass Ultimate includes Xbox live and games for Windows PC.
✅ All Microsoft first party titles day one and EA play
✅ you pay $25/$35 a month after 2 years you own the console.

VS. You can get the PS5. Also the price of games goes up $70.

Am I missing something here?

They have cover to go $70 and make more money on the games while increasing the value of gamepass. Nobody is really going to care at this point if they are the only one at $60 so might as well.
