I’m just gonna go through the MS store. I have no idea how supply and demand works when I’m not actually getting shipped a console 6 weeks from now but my impression is stores like BB may have a defined digital allotment while MS themselves may not.

Unimpressive honestly. The game loads in 4 seconds for me in same loading scenario as in the video except my game is installed on a regular old SATA SSD, a Samsung 860 EVO to be exact, I don't have it installed on a fancy NVMe drive.

So you think the whole SSD for this gen is a nothing?

mira probably impressive to console gamers and “casuals” or “over the shoulder on lookers”. But until we’re shown games that are specifically built to take advantage of then its “neat”...they should show a game like demon souls warping/fast-traveling from place to place, like forza 5 fast traveling like a bullet train from Kyoto to port of Tokyo

Not sure why this comes as a surprise. It is the way I assumed it would work based on the architecture and MS’ statements.
They were pretty clear about a lot, like OG and 360 games getting 1440p and native One games getting One S treatment.... except this article clears up one thing that wasn't mentioned before, that I could find... a new Series S|X mode(s) for Xbox One games! I was really hoping for this to be a thing!:

So, as we understand it, existing Xbox titles can be enhanced for both Series S and Series X in different ways - the compatibility team can step in with its own specific type of magic, opening the door to running 30fps games at 60fps and 60fps titles at 120fps. Alternatively, developers now have the tools to see where their existing Xbox One games are running - and if it's a Series S or Series X machine, aspects like doubling the frame-rate become possible (and perhaps other features could be enabled too) - all without having to 'port' their games to the next-gen platform. The extent to which take-up will be there is of crucial importance, of course, but the potential is certainly very exciting and we're really looking forward to testing this out on both of the new Xbox machines.

...So, is an existing Xbox One game that is S|X enhanced now just an official Xbox Series S|X game? This really does blur the lines between generations, and I'm actually all for it!

Would be great to see Sea of Thieves @ 1440p/60 for Series S and 2160p/60 for Series X!

No reason those graphics can't be updated to 4K/120!

If Best Buy allows me to do that and still get reward points than I’m all over that lol but I’ll still try to ge tit either way, might be late to work lol be in the parking lot frantically trying to reload the app and not throw my phone out the window :p

That's a hell of alot better than what condole games have now.

Don't play bad games so you might be on to something.
Sea of Thieves is still my favorite game of the generation. That's obviously just my preference, but it should at least be many people's favorite online multi-player game, if they buy into the hook.

It's also one of the most beautiful games ever, IMO. The real- time lighting, weather, and water in 4K HDR are just gorgeous! It may not be Horizon ZD, Spider-Man, Gears 5, or Forza Horizon 4 level gorgeous, but this is such a different and unique online game that none of those examples compare to. Especially with all of the updates populating the world now, those colors can just be so freaking fantastic in HDR!

You can disagree all you want, but know that there are many DEDICATED players across Steam/PC and Xbox that this is a well beloved game that goes beyond what is perceived by the online forum communities.
