Doesn't sound like MS is playing games for their pre-orders.
Would be hilarious if all the retailers didn't wait. Nothing MS could do to really penalize if they all did it lol.

I don't think they can dictate anything.
If I was getting a Series X I'd go through the Microsoft Store. When it comes to console launches I've always had good experiences.
Their software delivery side (at least on PC) is another story.
That's how stores do it here, they know they're getting the console (although how many and when usually not clear), so they take preorders. No real guarantees but you don't pay until you get it. Did the same with xbox one, got it on launch day.How did you preorder in Feb.?
They can and do.I don't think they can dictate anything.
So you think the whole SSD for this gen is a nothing?Unimpressive honestly. The game loads in 4 seconds for me in same loading scenario as in the video except my game is installed on a regular old SATA SSD, a Samsung 860 EVO to be exact, I don't have it installed on a fancy NVMe drive.

They were pretty clear about a lot, like OG and 360 games getting 1440p and native One games getting One S treatment.... except this article clears up one thing that wasn't mentioned before, that I could find... a new Series S|X mode(s) for Xbox One games! I was really hoping for this to be a thing!:Not sure why this comes as a surprise. It is the way I assumed it would work based on the architecture and MS’ statements.
No reason those graphics can't be updated to 4K/120!...So, is an existing Xbox One game that is S|X enhanced now just an official Xbox Series S|X game? This really does blur the lines between generations, and I'm actually all for it!
Would be great to see Sea of Thieves @ 1440p/60 for Series S and 2160p/60 for Series X!
That's a hell of alot better than what condole games have now.Unimpressive honestly. The game loads in 4 seconds for me in same loading scenario as in the video except my game is installed on a regular old SATA SSD, a Samsung 860 EVO to be exact, I don't have it installed on a fancy NVMe drive.

Don't play bad games so you might be on to something.I can clearly tell you've never played the game.
Sea of Thieves is still my favorite game of the generation. That's obviously just my preference, but it should at least be many people's favorite online multi-player game, if they buy into the hook.Don't play bad games so you might be on to something.
