Yerli- No Ryse downgrades

To be clear, they never really came out and said it was 1080p to begin with. Did they?

Saw on a reddit post that there will be nothing but upgrades from this point on and something about a Full HD Experience, so you never know. I honestly just skim through these things.

As we learned with the MS DRM debacle, execs don't always keep up with all of the minute details on a day to day basis. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a follow up tweet that said it was only 900p

You could be right, but I'm prette sure the"Full HD" tweet is a follow up on the 900p thing.
 
Even if he said it was 900p that doesn't automatically make it a mistake. They are still fine tuning the game. A number of things could have happened to allow the game to go back to 1080p.

:Dyeah, I know a board where they rather saw some downgrades instead. I simply can't wait to get Ryse. I'll invite my neighbor (who is very pro-sony) to enjoy the stunning visuals with me.
 
I like the new version better. The overall feels of the materials is now more realistic and textured, especially on metallic surfaces that now don’t look like polished plastic anymore, and on the skin, that shows more detail

Some people see the lighting toned down and immediately think the graphics suck.
 
Exactly what is the STORY about? Yeah, I know, Romans and barbarians, but what else?. Other than the ability to count the number of pimples on a Centurions arse, and "great combat mechanics" what does this game have to offer that will make it stand out from other historical sims? After seeing Grand Theft Auto 5, you'll have to excuse me if I'm a bit underwhelmed by this "next gen" offering thus far. It's hardly enough reason to rush out and buy the new console, day one, with such modest improvements in graphics.
 
people need to relax about the 900p. The difference between 1080p and 900p is pretty small. If every game for Xbox one runs at at least 900p I'll be super excited, considering most games this last Gen ran at sub 720p.
 
By smoother, you mean blurrier. The metal looks better, but it's just so much more blurry than the original.

The guy in the middle talks about the story and the difference between movies and videogames storytelling. He's a movie guy, which in my opinion IS GOOD.
Anyway from 6:00 to around 8:00 he briefly summarizes the story. From 13:50 he talks about other characters and the rise (rYse) of Marius in the roman army's ranks (he's shown dressed as a general).
16:30 small backstory trailer about a sinister mythological figure in ryse's universe

I agree. Ryse is looking top notch. It's running CE3 for goodness sake. Which is, in my opinion, the best looking engine out there.

I think people are making a big deal of it because the pics above show a HUGE difference where there shouldn't be. That old/new comparison has been doctored. 900p is flat out not that ridiculously blurry. We got trolled. lol
