Your favorite arcade game memory

Nice to see some on here familiar with happy Hampton, good times down there back in the day. I went to Salisbury beach as well

Have you been to Hampton Beach lately? The whole block that Happy Hampton was on burnt to the ground a few years ago :(

Too many great arcade games to mention.

I always wanted a faithful arcade conversion of Power Drift. But the Genesis just couldn't pull it off.
I don't know if Sega ever released an arcade conversion on Saturn or Dreamcast?

Probably the first time I played Donkey Kong. Although I do remember pumping alot of quarters in Asteroids at the Local grocery store.

2 come to mind and once these showed up at our local bowling ally there was no going back home to my Atari 2600 lol
Can still hear the music bumping from this very cool looking motorcycle game called Super hang-On

Also still remember begging my parents for a Sega Genesis for Christmas after finding out they was being ported over.

I has this for the Amiga, seemed like a decent version.

Afterburner with the motorized cab. was awesome, loved that back in the day. They have Afterburner Climax(?) at the local Chucky Cheese, my son loves it and best of all its only a quarter to play.

Wow some of these games were so awesome. The Star Wars game blew my mind away as a kid and franking defender when I walked up to it it was like wtf with all those buttons lol.

Yeah, it did have a lot of buttons for those days. Cutting edge, dude.

I can still hear all the sounds in my head, if I try -- the pods, the sound of the ship, the sound it would make when you'd hit hyperspace, the explosions, all of it. That's one thing about arcade games. They made these very distinct noises. After 1000s of games, those sounds are implanted in my head.

Only a quarter ? Dont see many arcade games anymore but they all seem to be a buck or a token lol.

I used to be pretty good at Track & Field. But some cabinets had button guards on them, so you couldn't slap the buttons. My performance suffered on these ones. lol
