I hope they get someone who looks more like Superman should to replace Cavill, if he and his manager hadn't been so greedy he'd still have the job. I just don't want them picking someone out of left field that nobody thinks fits the part the way they did with Pattinson for Batman. Superman needs to be a large guy with dark hair and able to make Clark and Superman seem like two different people.
This physique with other head would be optimal;

Or just do what hollyweird does best and make a Superman-woman instead....
Or.... bring this prospect back;

If they released it in theater I’m curious how well it would do.

What if they pushed it out on their streaming service?

Not gonna lie, if they released a Snyder cut, I'd easily watch it. When my dad and I saw it, we both enjoyed JL, but he was super high on it. He thought it was the best incarnation of them all, to each their own I suppose. Then again, I loved BVS.

I'd watch it but I'd hope they'd upgrade the special effects, they had some of the worst sequences I've seen in a modern blockbuster. I also get why it wouldn't happen though, Batman and Superman are going to be played by different actors in the future and this version of the JL seems to be pretty much dead at this point.

Only because it hasn't been recast yet, he should have done the shazam cameo instead of making that his last stand, it was stupid and his manager is an idiot.

No proof of that. All he and the shazam director have said is he wasn't available due to scheduling conflicts

It would have been one day, all it would have been was a cameo, he came in for reshoots for JL during Mission Impossible that took a lot longer than that. His manager was trying to get him paid like an A lister and he's not there yet, they played hardball and lost.

Well there isn't much of a reason for him to keep doing these dumpster fire movies if he isn't get paid big bucks.

He'd still be getting millions, he's not an A lister, he was able to go after the Witcher role because he had nothing else lined up, an A lister who's hot would have had to move on to another movie not a Netflix series based on polish books and a video game that will occupy his schedule for months and not pay anywhere near as much as a feature film. I get that they weren't doing a good job with the DC films at that point but he wasn't willing to do the cameo in Shazam and they were negotiating at that time, it seems to me like a stupid hill to die on.

But it was a role he really wanted and not one he took out of desperation and he is still making millions doing it with opportunity for more if the show is a hit.

But yeah a deal to keep him place as Superman would have obviously earned him more but he is obviously only going to do them for the money so I can't fault him for trying to get more.

It would have earned him more AND he would only have to shoot one of those movies every other year most likely so he'd still have a lot of time to do other projects. He was never in demand for anything though, he had nothing lined up and that's why he was able to go for The Witcher. Honestly he's not a great actor, he doesn't have much range, he's a guy with a great physique and that some people find attractive but he's not someone I think just screamed Superman. I could buy him as Superman but he was very lacking when it came to playing Clark.

I have trouble judging actors in s***ty movies. When scripts and directors are bad then performances tend to not always be so good. He was good in The Tudors.
