Hopefully they never go Kinectless. I want developer support for this thing that is for sure. I don't want it half assed like other options out there.Having used the kinect for the X1 now, I can't imagine having the console without it...

No question about it. Just seems like its actually getting worse as time goes on.are people only just realizing this ? 'Game journalism' has been a joke for nigh on the last decade.

in this day and age, exclusive AAA titles are harder to keep exclusive, wouldn't surprise me to see a Sony exclusive, or someone like Naughty Dog, jump to include X1

Ah yes, dance parties are all the rage.Actually give me a $349 Kinect Xbox One, I'm semi-interested in those Dance games...

What kind of things do you do mostly with Kinect? Cause even though i don't have a Xbox One yet...i already expect i won't be using it much. But maybe i am totally wrong.

Thats the voice part of Kinect. Sadly, the gesture, which is actually the core part of kinect, is underuse.I use it to navigate just about everything on my X1. You're able to access any game, app, or service without clicking through the different layers to get there. It's great to pause, play, and turn the volume up/down just by saying it and not fiddling with some remote.

For me, I use it literally for everything navigating. I turn the box on with it, check messages, check for friends on line, start the games, use the voice commands (in game if available). I haven't skyped yet, no one I know uses it.
I would say more than 90% of the time, I don't touch my controller or even turn it on until I am actually in game and ready to play.
Same. I can't go back.Having used the kinect for the X1 now, I can't imagine having the console without it...
I have a question about Xbox Live Gold Sharing, which doesn't seem to be answered here:
https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/xbox-live/xbox-live-gold-sharing-features
My question is this:
1. I have an Xbox Live Gold account, had it for almost 11 years now.
2. My son has an Xbox Live Gold account, had it for almost 4 years now.
3. Xbox One allows everyone who uses that Xbox to access Xbox Live Gold features.
4. If I get a second Xbox One, and add my profile to that new Xbox One (and retain it on my old Xbox One)
5. Can I let my son's Xbox Live Gold subscription expire and he continue to enjoy gold features because I am on both consoles?
The above article states that there just needs to be a gold subscriber's profile on the Xbox One in order for anyone else on the Xbox to be able to use gold features.
I'm pretty sure for two X1s you would still need two Gold accounts, because your Gold account is going to be tied to its "home console"
I think that might work. If it does he would also be able to play any digital game you might have. I've been meaning to try it out with my brothers console. So that must be the catch. What if I made my "home console" the one my son used, and it has my gold profile on it. And then I use my new Xbox One console with only my gold profile on it?
I might be missing something here. It is Friday and I am jonesing to get out of work!
But if they tried to get the single player to run @ 60fps then it would have to be downgraded. Would you then say it doesn't qualify as 1080p @ 60fps because it was downgraded.
Yup, same here. Forza 5 looks and plays a-f***ing-mazing. 1080p, 60fps. SOLID and locked too. Best looking game on console to date (though I haven't played Ryse), and best looking and playing racer on console ever.
Only on Xbox One baby!
Kinect-less option should have been day one.
I still can't find any use for Kinect outside of Xbox fitness and "Xbox, On".
The in-game Kinect features are lame as hell. "Say, Throw Spears!" in RYSE does not add ANYTHING at all to the game experience. It's like Wii boxing...flicking your wrists performs the action, performing an actual punch with your body is not required...but I guess for the casuals it makes them feel like they're really boxing.
All these Kinect people raving about how awesome Kinect was going to be and how it adds to the experience of the game...no, just no.
Yelling I need a medic in BF4 does not make me feel like I'm in battle or make me feel more immersed in the game.
Head-tracking in Forza 5 is just lame, doesn't do anything but create a distraction.
Having used a Kinect I can't imagine ever having a console with one.
what you hate, others love... accept it and move on.
In Ryse, it is far easier to say "fire volley" than to do the button press. You have to press and hold the command as a button press vs. just saying it. That comes from the game originally being a kinect game I'd imagine.
I get what you are saying, but you need to stop portraying it like you are spouting fact and you are RIGHT and all of us that use it and like it are somehow wrong.
I apologize if I am off base, but that is the way you are coming off.
. Maybe I need to move my kinect to a new location but as of right now that thing sucks and doens't work worth a damn.
I'm sorry but I definitely have to disagree. They made the voice commands faster as an artificial way of making people use kinect which sucks because I had to scream fire volley so many gawd damn times I ended up just using the button anyway. It would have been cool if it worked correctly but it definitely didn't.
