Ori and the Blind Forest

I'm thinking and hoping $20 will be nothing for how good it'll be.

$19.99. Ouch.

I'll wait for it to be $10 or a GWG freebie.

It has a beautiful presentation, a very nice visual style. I'm not sure I'd find the 2-d platforming all that interesting, though. I'm kind of tired of those games. I probably suck, too.

Quick question: are the 10 hr estimates based on a normal pace play through, without hunting down all collectibles, etc, or a 100% playthrough? Big difference, obviously.

Thanks.

It's the typical time it took our playtesters to complete the game, not even 100%ing everything. Some people spend 4-5 hours just in Act 1... Obviously, if you want to speedrun it, you can finish it much quicker.

Nah, we wouldn't have been able to make a game like Ori otherwise. I already have to tip my hat to Microsoft simply because it wasn't possible for most people (Including Koji Igarashi) to make a AAA Metroidvania... But Microsoft believed in our vision, funded Ori and did the distribution, so really, it was a really good deal fo rus and we're happy with our decision.
Microsoft has been putting a lot of weight behind Ori after E3 last year, so that's obviously a cool thing for us.
Also, I hope MS will end up doing more with the actual IP. I'd love to see Ori being adapted to film, comic books, etc. - I think the world we crafted has an enormous amount of potential and I hope they're making use of all the IPs they're grabbing ;) :D

Ooooh and this, let the promoting begin!!!!

I can see what you're saying. But for me, if they can make the game as challenging as some of the classic 2D games, with this visual presentation, that's a combination I've been waiting for for years.

I love how fluid the animations look too. Butyeah i agree, i have not really looked into the gameplay much, so it remains to be seen. I sure hope it's great.

Watched some gameplay on Twitch/PAX. Looks good. This will probably be the first game I get on the One this year.
