Well, what I said was that it was a wash or better. You say moot, which is a very similar to me saying it is a wash. You would be both still getting said game you already going to get, early; and also getting to play a slew of vault games. Pretty simple, to me. Pay for a month and see if you want to opt out. This is obviously for someone who is not sure that the service is for them. I have noticed that a lot of gamers who aren't into reading about these things in the web are kind of bewildered by this service. It really is like a free trial with an earlier release to boot.
I was similarly not sure about pulling the year sub trigger when the service started, but new games kept popping up in the vault. Obviously the year sub is way cheaper, in the long run.
Like I said in my post, it is only really a no brainer if the vault games interest you and/or the EA stable of franchises has a lot you want.
From a basic viewpoint of just a new game it really isn't a no brainer. Which is where the disagreement is.
