Rare Replay

Ok, really dumb question...I was playing Conker's tonight in Rare Replay, I got done & wanted to go back to the main Rare Replay game select screen to play something else, but for the life of me I couldn't find a button that would take me back out of Conker's & to the main screen to select other titles? Do you seriously have to restart the whole Rare Replay game to select another title? I pressed every button on the controller multiple times, but it would never take me back out of Conker's?

You should just have to hold down the menu button and the options menu to save/exit will come up. Don't know how its handled with the 360 emulated ones though haven't tried those yet,
 
Geez, this is one hell of a presentation. Usually with a compilation title like this, I get tired and confused so I end up playing none of them as deeply as I should (as in Halo MCC). But with this game, you need to and want to play them to see all the bonus contents. The videos and unreleased concepts are really interesting and gives a look at what Rare is and what they've been doing in recent years. I heard Rare has been a really secretive developer, but with this game they opened up everything and started showing what they are and what they've been doing to everybody. That alone is worth $30 to me.

Metcritic at 86 (28 reviews with the lowest being 80). Funny the usual user reviews of "0" - PC elitists or Phony's mad at X1 having another good scoring game to put a dent in their list wars.

Does that make it the highest rated console exclusive this year?

Edit: Journey on PS4 is at least rated higher.
 
Whoever made Battletoads need to have their heads checked. What the **** is this difficulty? Is it actually made for humans to finish? Without the rewind feature there's no freakin' way I would have finished this game. It's very fun though, which makes it more infuriating. Hnnnngh

What's with the updates all of a sudden? I had Rare Replay preordered and downloaded, and those seperate 360 games like BK Nuts & Bolts were preordered too. So that should mean it's downloaded too, right? Well for both Jetpac Refueled and Nuts & Bolts it needs updating now. BK almost a GB update....why?

Grabbed by the Ghoulies looks awesome. I wonder why the other games didn't receive the 1080p/60fps treatment.

Checked it out last night just doing the first 8 or so games in order of release. Damn old games from mid-80's were rough as hell.
 
It Unlocked for me last night around 9pm. I then played the s*** outta RC Pro Am,Cobra Triangle,Battletoads Arcade and then the 360 N64 PERFECT DARK (which is wayyyy better than the n64 orig!)

The only game I probably won't really play is KI Gold. I thought that was sub par port back in the day and it looks even more dated now.

Awesome deal if you like FUN games!!

Yea I already have KI 1 through the new Killer Instinct so not sure how much time I'll spend on it, although the original is a pain in the ass even on easy. Not sure on the changes between that and Gold.
 
Blast Corp still fun as ever, I would have paid $30 just for that everything else is gravy.

All of Rare's BC games received an update in prep for this collection
 
I think I remember now why I didn't play Conker. The camer controls are reveres and flipped? Was that how it was? I push left and it goes right. I push right and it goes left. It's nearly impossible for me to control.

Uh oh, somebody didn't play his flight sim. ;)

The same mechanic bugs me with Banjo-Kazooie, but what a relief that we have Xbox controller instead of N64. I have no idea how people played games on that controller.
 
I have this experience of trying to play Goldeneye and PD on an N64 emulator, but I always failed because of low framerate and abysmal controls with M/KB.

That said, Perfect Dark in this package (XBLA) surprises me. Of course I am playing on the lowest difficulty, but once the "Duty Calls" control scheme sets in, the action is already off the charts in the first level of the game. Pity that Rare is unlikely to go back to shooter genres, but I am impressed.
 
Playing Conker again and recently a lot of Banjo....i just want a brand new 3D platformer sooooooooooo fuggin bad man! Crazy how timeless these games are.
 
this package is amazing i was playing it all day yesterday i even had a good go on jetpac god that took me back to my commodore vic 20 days.Kameo still looks great come on microsoft get Rare to do a sequel.

Like the Xbots who purposely rate PS4 only exclusives low right :meh:
Another good scoring game eh? What do you consider good?
