There's another scene, where if you respond in a strong way to Yennifer's complaining, she

teleports you into the middle of a lake. Geralt says, "Man, she's really not in the mood."

That was good, too.

Yeah I got that too.
I'm that way with the ladies in real life except they don't teleport you they just slash your tires.

The game has me laughing a lot lately. Snarky dialog with Lambert, the Lambert limerick, snarky dialog with Yennifer, her vindictive response when I push her too far, asking Uma ontological questions, and the drinking scene. Good stuff. I can't remember an RPG ever really cracking me up, at least not as often as the Witcher 3 does.

Uma is billed as the ugliest man alive, btw, but I actually find him pretty cute. I suppose he's meant to be that way.
Did Yennifer's vindictive response get you very wet?:D

I heard patch .08 has some negative impact on the game, anyone on ps4 confirm? I've not played the game in a while now but am thinking of starting up another playthrough with new game plus once it comes out

I've played several times on PS4 since the patch came out. I haven't noticed any problems.

Good to hear, I just saw something on GAF about how 1.08 negatively impacted framerate in certain instances.

It may, I don't know. I read a little bit of the thread. There are some complaints. There are always complaints, though. Somebody made a joke about all the complainers spending their whole game riding at a full gallop through Crookback Bog in a thunderstorm.

Not to mention GAF is about the largest collective of whiners & negative-nancies I've ever seen...

GAF gets a lot of flak around here. I'm not so down on it as most people. I think with a large group, you get a large number of all types -- reasonable, fanboyish, hateful, whiners, balanced, informative, thoughtful, knee-jerk, etc. That's just the nature of a large group. All in all, it's a good place to read, though a bad place to have a conversation. Anyway, that's off topic.

People sure do store a lot of loot in their heads, I've noticed.

I'm not really down on it per se, it's just that I notice a higher level of negativity coming from Gaffers than here (which is mostly the only other forum I frequent). They just seem to harp on s#!+ more. I mostly lurk there though.

I was planning on running through Wild Hunt one more time on NG+, so I just wanted to make sure its not worse now. now that I'm working again though, I don't know how much time I'll have to get through it before MGS5...

After 4 weeks break,

I started playing yesterday again. I think I am ready to just finish the game, & move on. The side quests getting a bit stale.

Clocked at 130 hours already.

I haven't played TW3 in weeks. The game is too deep for me, lol. I love RPGs but when there's other games to play as well i hate trying to focus on a 150 hour game. I'll get back to it eventually.

I finished the game and most of the content in just under 100 hours. Just depends on how much you explore. I definitely have a good 20 hours left on skellige.

So New Game + is out on X1 today (PS4 tmrw). I just can't figure out how to use it. Instructions say that if you already completed the game, you need to load a save made after completion, then re-save the game. I did that, but still don't see an option for New Game +. Anyone figure this out yet??

Not me, I'm still working on my first one.

I'm about 90% done, in the "Final Preparation" chapter. I'm enjoying the game, after taking a break from it to play some smaller games, and then deciding to focus on the main path. I have no idea how many hours I've put in, because the clock is broken. I'd guess around 70 or 80.

I'd give it a 9/10 at this point. I don't think I'm as blown away by it as some people sound, but it's the best game I've played this year (not counting remasters) and the best RPG I've played this gen.

You have to start a new game, it'll have you choose difficulty>show tutorials>simulate witcher 2 save> newgame+ it's not a separate option from the main menu but a sub-category of new game... I thought it was kinda weird as well.

Geralt a Dentist from Rivia said he paid 55,000 Crowns for this trip and he didn't know the bear was endangered.

Reactions: DLC and Kassen
1. Go to White Orchard.
2. Slay the two cows in the pasture
3. Meditate for three hours
4. Repeat steps 2 and 4 until screen goes black
5. profit

Finished the game just a few minutes ago. Very good. I really enjoyed the main quest line. Much more feeling and humor in the writing this time, much better than Witcher 2.

I will probably clean up another couple of sidequests and call it quits.

Strengths: graphics were sharp, animations were good, combat was complex enough to stay interesting, writing was good, main storyline was good, a number of the sidequests were fun and unusual, sidequests were more beefy than your average RPG, sardonic banter was fun, boobs.

Weaknesses: upgrades felt too constrained to me, exploration didn't feel very interesting or satisfying, horse riding was clunky, segments in the main story where you were just running back and forth.

I am finishing soon also. Massive game. Easily over 250 hours if you try to do everything. But I would do all, as I need to move on & do other stuff.

I do not think I will play any major titles, (maybe a couple of Indies like Repture) until at least end of the year.

That's just crazy profit. So they've almost doubled their money even with a $82 million dollar budget. Crytek am cry.

Finally finshed the main quest, I still have no idea of the portals (the fan looking icons on maps).

Overall an excellence game, my biggest rant is poor romance. Very poorly handled. They should let you make a choice when you get to know them better, you hardly even know them enough, especially Yen before commiting, unknowingly, to a live of loneliness. 2nd rant is disappointing combat. From level 1 to 35, I am basically using teh same move & tactics, with just a few changes. There isn't a lot of tactic need except for sa few battles than dodges & slice, & some fire throw in. A bit of a shame.

Thats about the rant. Story & characters are obviously the best part. Best questm, side/contract/treasure hunt of any RPG. A lot of variants. But having said that, after about level 25, I just quit doing much side quest & go mainly main story. Massive & beefy game. I clocked 139 hours, of mostly very enjoyable gameplay!

Time to take a break from gaming now.

I didn't feel as if there was much "romance" to the game at all, much less than even your standard Bioware trysts. Maybe I missed some juicy sex scenes or something. I got a lot of snarky banter with Yen, but that's about it.

Combat was pretty simple. I used Quen, dodge, and quick strikes (occasional long) on 95% of the encounters. Sometimes I'd use Axii or Yrden, but I hardly ever used bombs, the other signs, oils, or potions -- just on a few of the tougher fights. I was playing on normal difficulty, and I'm sure higher levels of difficulty would demand different approaches.

Game is starting to get glitchy on me. I've experienced quite a few glitches lately. Last night, the camera suddenly decided to position itself directly behind Geralt's head -- like, three inches behind it. Couldn't see a thing.

Tonight, I way way out in the Skellige seas, travelling by boat to some distant islands, exploring question marks. Suddenly the whole screen obscured, without any ability to move. Naturally the game decides to auto-save at this point. I reload the autosave, and fortunately it loaded without the glitch -- but unfortunately without my boat. So I'm stuck 7o0 miles out at sea on a tiny deserted island with no boat. Gilligan! I had to swim all the way back to shore.
